I visited Jordan in December and already want to go back with more friends. I enjoyed Mt. Neebo as much as Petra. The people pride themselves in living amongst plural religions. Highly recommended. Definitely try the fresh pomegranate juice.

After walking on that ancient roadway, it’s good to see that that ancient “tip” box is still in great condition
There is so much to discover and explore in the Old World. This video only scratched the surface. And all that food... now I am hungry. Thanks for sharing, Alice, informative as always.

Thanks Radisson
Urghh... i love hidden gem places like this.
Just think every one of those columns on that roadway was part of a huge building on both sides of the road, some temple or government building of some kind. I must say that Jordan has managed to stay out of the situation in Israel so far which is actually pretty commendable given the emotions around it.

Thanks Alice for the great video. I got hungry watching you cook all that food. It's amazing all of those buildings are still intact. They knew how to make things back then.

They sure did know how to build back then. It’s amazing to see structures so old and even to think about how far under sand and earth they were too

There is a lot of history all around the shore of the Mediterranean and Black & Caspian seas, Romans were in the Crimea area too. It's too bad that a lot of these places are too dangerous to travel to now, Syria has a lot of history. You might want to explore Gibraltar, Crete, Sardinia , Corsica, Balearic Islands, Tunisia & Morrocco, Bulgaria & Turkey, Caucasus nations. Your camera person did a good job. If the world was safer you could retrace the trade & spice routes from Europe to China but that's not going to happen any time soon.

You are so right. I would love to visit many of these places and I do have a dream of motorbiking the spice route one day. I have visited Ephesus in Turkey which is remarkable but would love to explore more of these regions in full.
Another great video Alice.

What does a non-Muslim tourist in a Muslim country do in public when the call to prayer is announced? It is important to show respect.

Most people go about their business in Jordan even during prayer, I actually didn’t even see any locals stopping to pray during the prayer calls.
