Exploring Abandoned Historical Library
Ойын-сауық
In Cleveland Ohio there is an abandoned historic library that was built in 1920.
At the time of its construction, the initial cost of the building was 69,550 dollars.
This library was constructed by architect firm Whitfield & king.
A cleveland artist by the name Ora Coltman supervised the construction of this branch from Whitfield's design.
He donated his paintings to this library, one of which you can see in one of the historic pictures.
This library was closed in 1990 and has sat abandoned ever since.
This building is in great condition to be 101 years old. I'm sure this building will be repurposed in the future.

@@URBEXHILL If you can imagine the combined smell of old books and old school with the feel of knowing how much knowledge was there in all those books that sums it up. It was one of the few field trips to a place that I remember like it was yesterday.
I love your narration. You have such a good story telling voice and always look forward to your new vid notification. Awesome work as always. Oh yeah and as I've said before your so brave doing these alone explores much braver than me anyway lol! x

@@URBEXHILL I agree with that person stateing you have a very nice sounding voice. And I'd explore with you. We like the same 'stuff'. I just subbed today. 🤘👻💖
Idk if anybody else pointed this out yet, but at 18:53 you can hear a cough or giggle coming from the room nearby right before you get to that desk. I had headphones on and was able to hear it clearly.
I like how you take your time to film details that enhance the quality of your video, make it a more complete portrait of the place. ( I tought for a moment you'll try those ritz cookies . Lol !) Nice video and thanks for sharing

Old history architecture makes you the best explorer. Thank you for the facts about the building put in at the start of the video. Sometimes it is rough getting in the building, (window) but glad you entered and exited safely! It would be great if they could restore such a beautiful part of Ohio history. Thank you! Great video. Thank you.
Haven't seen or commented on your videos in a while (not because of your videos, just life in general). Good to see you're still exploring and to see you get coverage on other channels (like Nuke's Top 5). And that basement is some Saw movie level sh*t there, LOL.

At -- 13 : 35 -- Maybe a homeless person put them there and forgot about them. When you looked down the hallway it seemed like a dark figure was there. There are dark shaddow ghosts. I saw some come up out of the water once, but they were nice ghosts. They were pointing to the direction where my apt was down the street. Since the storm that had suddenly come up was shaking the dock I was on because of the waves getting so high I left the park and got back to my apt as quick as possible. If the power goes out in the building the doors don't open. I didn't even think to take the stairs, just getting into my apt and turned the light on, the building lost power. Those ghosts did me a faver. I'd have tried to stay another 10 mins. or so, taking kool pics of the storm if they haddnt't popped up out of now where like that.

This library was small But it was a Big Deal to kids in the neighborhood in the early to mid 80’s I Believe it’s been abandoned since early 90’s
Cool place2turn in2a home..
You are so cool fr 😁
Some years ago I was tagging a building wall adjacent to the rail road tracks it was summer and nighttime and all I was wearing were sneakers so I somehow managed to stop on a rusty nail it went clean thru my foot very warm feeling no blood and no pain . No pain THEN. So I tried to pay it off didn’t have health insurance and would have had to lie about where I was . Anyways I slept over at my friend Robs house that night and a thunderstorm rolled in late or early in the wee hours and my foot started to throb and ache and hurt so bad I couldn’t sleep next day I had to get a tetanus shot lesson learned I don’t see those places anymore but if I do I’m wearing indescribable steel toe work boots you have to they just give you steadier more confident footing and stride .
Nise taste in ur music Chris ur videos 😊

I am enjoying your videos, but a bit concerned for your health in these explorations, especially with the visible molds and unknown gases in the air. I hope that you are wearing a good mask as such exposures are seemingly benign, but affect over time. Thank you for your brave exploring. Blessings and protection to you.

Hello there, I heard about you on another channel (Nuke's top 5)that used a clip from one of your videos. That didn't inspire me to check you out as much as a couple positive comments I read. I chose this one because it had lower views. Just curious if you've been this libnary lately, and if it is being restored?
