Just ignore the pictures of the apollo landing sites taken by nasa and the chinese. You wanna crack on about how the earth is really flat next?
Dude how about we get flying direct to other bodies in the solar system before we go worrying about getting. anything to another solar system ? Maybe build some infrastructure, invest in more potent forms of propulsion. Some form of nuclear propulsion is going to be involved in getiing robots and people anywhere in the solar system. Whether that's a system based on fission, fusion, or matter/antimatter reactions doesnt much matter but the tech needs to be developed, tried out, see what works. And weve either got to come up with some kind of wonder material for radiation shielding or some way to repair the cellular damage done to peopleon the months long timescales going to mars and beyond would require, oh and gravity dont forget gravity in that the ship will need some. Because at current a six moth trip to mars in 0 g surrounded by the radiation soaked hell that is space wouldnt see a triumphant astronaut descending the ladder andntaking another small step and a giant leap, rather itd be a bunch of people dying of radiation sickness with withered bodies and bones made of glass or you know not very inspiring
