Exploring a Huge Abandoned Cinema with Power
In this episode, we enter a huge abandoned theatre at night that features ornate architecture, untouched remains and working power! It is one of the best explores we have done this year and easily the nicest theatre we have seen to date.

This is history and wonderful build quality ,it should not be allowed to rot and decay ,it is an important historical structure.
In the projection booth is the film make up and break down bench and handle. When films were still shown on 35mm film they used to arrive at the cinema in 20 minute reels. The projectionist had to put the reels together to make up the feature film. The bench was also used to make up adverts and trailers.

Urbandoned My pleasure. I was a projectionist for over 20 years and what you filmed is now obsolete in cinemas. It’s all digital now. The lenses, if manufactured in Germany would have been worth a small fortune in their day and the various sizes is due to different film ratios. Nowadays, only two ratios is used 1.85 and 2.35 (Scope)
Wow! This is truly an amazing old theatre. So good that you and your colleagues show respect to each property as you explore.

Thanks mate, entering these places without showing respect to them is a no!
It's a good sign that the worst kind of vandalism is writing in the dust. I like you using the word "unsmashed".
We wish this beautiful architectural heritage theater could be saved and restored to its original glory.
Wow the decay looked epic Theatre/ cinemas of this period never fail to impress but what saddens me that listed status is no guarantee of survival Keep safe guys

@@dominicsidaway1930 It's from Liverpool city centre, literally next to Lime Street station, by Grand Central etc.
Wow I've never seen some of the areas of the building, stunning. It was opened in 1931 and named the ABC and then changed name to The Forum in the 70s and then again in the 80s to it's final name The Cannon until it's closure in 1998. The last film I ever watched there was Interview with the Vampire in 1995!🧛♂️ Great explore, thanks for the vid.👍😊
Nice, reminds me in our old cinemas ,, sadly long gone.. take care guys 🐱☯️🌌
The tiles in the kitchen area are awesome x
That would be an amazing venue for a concert someone needs to buy and renovate this!

According to wiki there were plans to turn it into a concert venue but that was 5 or 6 years ago, that may be on hold during these financially restrictive times ! We'll have to wait and see.
Guys that was an absolutely phenomenal explore! One of my faves 💖💖I love the 1930's art deco style and to see the detail & colours in the arcitecture was outstanding. If only it could be bought back to working order today as a theatre it would be just awsome. Thanks again for sharing & look forward to the next one when you can :)

Recently just been obsessed with watching abandoned places, thank you for showing us this and giving some history. Very interesting. (:
this video is so undiscoverered I really enjoyed the architect u're and your narrative!!!
That was an awesome video and the interior did look beautiful inside the cinema.
Never loose your footage of all your movies you all have done, they maybe the only bit of history you can show your grand children in years to come. Great Vid guys, thanks
Beautiful Xpelair control panel at 6:23. Isn’t it amazing the things you spot! ⭐️
If you had gone under the stage you would have found the remnants of the organ console lift. Up in the splay walls you would also find the organ chambers where all the pipework used to be.

The one on Renshaw St which got demolished? I loved that place.
Some brilliant info on the building man, the filming of the cinematic sequences are brilliant, nice one. Safe to say the projector room isn't an original feature to the theatre.

@@Urbandoned That makes sense. Forgot to mention how well this came out considering zero lighting was in here.
Alarm battery must have been completely flat and didn't work until you restored the power, which also explain it didn't goes off when you first entered.
very like our beloved odeon in newcastle beautiful inside then it belonged to rank organisation they removed the fixtures then it became an incite to knock it down because it became delisted awesome guys thank you
I saw someone else go threw here the other day. He went on roof.amazing.apparentley the builders are in now. Building this and the old niteklub 051.which was an amazing rave club in the day.

Great video once again! i've always wondered though why theaters in Britain always have these vibrant colors? For example in the United States and the rest of Europe the colors are usually a lot more subtle.

Urbandoned The much older cinemas also used to do stage shows. If you find an abandoned cinema you may find rooms behind the screens that were once used as dressing rooms. I worked in cinemas for 20 years and sadly the old cinema building are disappearing very quickly.

The main auditorium looks very much like the Apollo in Manchester, possibly the same architect?
all that decorative plaster moulding actually had asbestos fibres.
I love these buildings. All new cinemas are black boxes and soulless blank screens. No colours anywhere. Depressing crap buildings
What if we can turn things around and restore these theaters to the former glories? We can do that with the Retro Decade Revival Project.

Liverpool, corner of Elliot Street, near Lime Street Station facing St. Georges Hall.
Not all of that is dust. Some are spirit Orbs. You can see the difference. orbs are round and see through and fly in directions
Dust does not fly around at that speed especially where there is not even a breeze
