As someone that was born in the US I can say that many people take what we have for granted constantly and it sometimes takes someone that wasn't born here to snap us back to reality and too appreciate what we have here.

Is a high clearance vehicle needed or 'just' recommended? I've drove tons of dirt road of miles in small carsWondering if it's possible here?

Vehicles are 30 percent and higher now than they have ever been historically. $35,000 for a toyota tacoma and a full size is pushing 50,000 so yeah hard for most of us to afford

@@omarariascortes9938 You sound like my fiance lol. We have nice overlanders, but have a lot of friends that complain that " I could never afford to get into overlanding." My fiance always tells them "buy a cheap 15 year old Tacoma with 4wd, buy a tent and you have everything you need". Obviously the expensive aftermarket isn't even necessary. Just respect the limits of your rig!

Yes Mateo that’s a true when you grow up in a third world country (I was born and raise in Ecuador as well) I moved here 5 years ago (20 y/o) and I really appreciate the bless of being here in the US, when people born and raise in the US doesn’t know mostly of the time the situation back home, I hope one day I can join you guys but I have a 4Runner all about tacos tho haha Amazing vídeo as always, saludos desde NYC!

Ah yes definitely wish we had checked the drive shaft before we left. We checked fluid levels and suspension stuff but didn't shake the drive shaft

I have 2001 gmc Sierra 1500 off road z71. I plan to tow behind my class c next year when I head down that way to play winter 2022.

Already did after this trip
We were just there a month ago. Couldn’t make Alstrom Point do to heavy rains the night before. We watched two built Tacos for an hour pulling themselves out of the mud.😬. We did get 400 miles of the North Rim in though prior to the storms. Great video👍
