I got so excited when I saw this video pop up. It's really funny that years ago walking down some street in Venice and ran into Ammar, and now I finally see you guys exploring my country. After seeing you guys starting to travel a lot, I thought many times about reaching out to offer some snippets of stories unique to Georgia, because there are indeed so many niches of life to explore there. So, I'm glad you found your way there eventually. I wish I was there at the moment to say hello, but my next trip home is a month away. I hope you explore more. Keep in mind though that the more you inquire about the state of modern Georgia, the more you will hear takes motivated by certain internal agendas. I hope you'll be able to dodge that and get as pure of an experience as possible. But our past is something that unites everyone there and you'll almost certainly hear true and genuine stories about it, similar to those of the woman in this video. I doubt you see this comment but if you need any advice on the place or any help piecing together the big picture of our story, please feel free to reach out. Whatever I wouldn't be able to help you with, I could at least direct you to someone who can.

@@Deme_Demetre 😂. Yeah I guess to a viewer with no knowledge of this place it might seem like the land is abandoned. But they point out many times it is a small chunk of land in the vast populated country. Most viewers will understand this is like an abandoned park tied to a countries history.

I've been to Georgia last year and met hospitable people. While hiking through the forests in the small town of Lagodekhi, I was invited by a group of friends to a wine party where I was camping. It is worth noting the way Georgians do their toast (whether it's wine or chacha) and that culture is evident in this video. Each time we raised our glasses, they would recite a (usually lengthy) heartfelt gratitude or dedication for life, friendship, guests, and many aspects of life. 'Gaumarjos!' 🥂

My grandmother's caretakers are both Georgian women who immigrated to the US. They are two of the nicest most thoughtful people I've ever met. They are with her 7 days a week but also have their own families to take care of. It takes incredible strength to be able to move to another country for the goal of the battement of one's own family and give up so much. They have made me want to visit Georgia and said they will take good care of me when I do! Also, Georgia is the birthplace of wine, so if you partake, please try yourself a nice Georgian red wine. You will not regret it.

There is great natural beauty and modern cities. Amazing and ancient wine culture and incredible cuisine. I only just scratched the surface but the history there is also amazing. There could be an entire series of videos about Georgia alone.

Georgia is a country of history, obedient to God, which you can confirm by many Churches ☦️, that are here and most importantly very guest loving 🇬🇪 I would suggest checking "Tbilisi" out, it is our capital and by the older part of it, you can see the combination of history and modernity. My mother is Georgian, but I've grown up in America, speaking English as my primary language, and although I have a love for Georgia as if it is my home country, I go there every summer after all and all my family is there, but I am insecure with how 'Georgian' I really am. I don't look very Georgian, I don't speak it very well, and I feel like to 'real' Georgians, I'm just a foreigner. Either way though, I have been waiting for a Yes Theory video in Georgia for as long as I've watched you guys, and I was very excited to see this. I must admit though, that when I saw what it was on, I was a little disappointed, as there is so much more you can talk about and see in Georgia other than Tskaltubo. The people, the hospitality, that's what makes Georgia, Georgia. I was so relieved to see Thomas acknowledge the occupied territories, (I'd love to see you guys see more about it), and I was touched by your conversation with the Georgian Bebo (grandmother). I could understand everything she said (which isn't always the case for Georgian, but sometimes), and the way she talked and was hospitable, reminded me of all the Georgian Bebos I've known. Including my own. But sadly, the day this came out, 3/30, I lost my grandmother, my Georgian Bebo. Coincidentally, she was from the west side, near Tskaltubo. The conversation made me tear up. Not only because she reminded me of my own Bebo, but it also reassured me that I am Georgian. I have experienced this world. I'm Georgian to my family, to the Georgians I know, and that's what matters. But honestly, even that doesn't matter, because as long as I matter to them, who cares what I am. This was a very important realization for me, and I thank you. Hopefully you come back to Georgia, every Georgian will agree there's a lot more stories to be told there. მიყვარხარ ბებო

I just turned 40 and I would love to get out of my shell and do something like this, unfortunately anxiety and separation issues I have from leaving my house keeps me inside most times! I so wish I could go on an adventure before it's too late! I know this wouldn't have been possible for me 10 years ago as I weighted 325lbs but I lost over 100 pounds and I truly wish i could get back to my old self :) Love your channel and I have been watching you here From Moncton NB Canada and wish the world was bigger for myself and my family!

I visited Georgia 10 years ago to visit family friends for two weeks. I have known people from Georgia my entire life. I haven't made it back yet, but I really want to go back soon. It is truly one of the most incredible places I have ever been and one of the strongest countries in the world. I love them so much, they are the kindest people you will ever meet, and I am so excited for the future of Georgia.
