Explore MISIÓN SAN JAVIER | Visiting Loreto, Baja California Sur | RV Baja Episode 9
Just an hour drive from the town of Loreto is the Misión San Francisco Javier, the second oldest and most well-preserved missions in Baja. We took in the beauty of the mission and explored the historic aqueducts built in the mid 1700's to irrigate their crops. We stood beneath an olive tree that was over 300 years old and said to be the first olive tree brought to the americas. If you're visiting Loreto, the trip to San Javier Mission is well worth it!

We are heading on the 10 day Baja cruise and Loreto is one of the stops. Our cruise ship has an excursion to San Javier and I was searching for a video to decide whether it would be worth it. It definetely is worth it. The views are stunning! Thank you for doing videos like that.

Beautiful video!! This was probably our favorite mission (San Ignacio is close) in Baja, and the road going up!? wow, it's so gorgeous, we had a ton of creek crossings when we were there in October.

It's not the best idea to drive on remote roads in Mexico, especially if you're European, Canadian or American. From personal experience don't do it, having been stopped and literally robbed by the local police if I didn't give them all my money, under threat of going to jail if I didn't. I was warned by others not to venture on rural roads and didn't heed it, so now I'm warning you.
