@@forget2bhuman993 Florida may not use theirs to the full extent, but Lake County Indiana has hellcat chargers, challengers, Jeeps, and Durangos and they use them often to Patrol the many miles of highway in the county. They’re also used as chase cars after a pursuit is terminated

well most start like this guy but the sad reality is they deal with some stuff that would mess with your mind. they see kids beaten and murdered and women as well, they have to save lives and help people even when the people are hostile. so I'd say there is a ton of cops like this man but the reality is that the job can be brutal and mess with your concise and warp your character, they may still be good hearted but they are mo longer as gentle with people as they once were as their life can be in danger st any second in that field

I have NEVER seen any cop or trooper move a broken down vehicle. I HAVE seen 100s of them sitting behind a disabled vehicle in the road way that would take a 6 foot push to get OFF the road way, waiting for a tow truck. Calling BS on this point.

​@Studio DaVeed When writing a wreck report there is a portion where you actually have to draw what the wreck looks like from a top down view. So I'd understand if cops wanted to wait until they filled out the entire 8-9 page report correctly before pushing the vehicle.

I grew up a military brat and they did demonstrations at schools I went to. They even brought a K-9 unit one time, he showed us all the commands even the ones where the dog weaves between legs while the handler advances with a long gun, and had a dude wear the bite sleeve to show us what happens when you don’t comply 😂

A law to explain the tools they use? Dumb af, you can find info and learn about literally everything different police departments use on your own. The info is public.

I've seen JSO in Jacksonville FL use the push bar on their cars to push a broke down car up over and the rest of the way across the Matthews bridge to get traffic moving again. If you have been on that drive during rush hour you know what a true hero that officer was.

I use to work right off I-10 at casset on the west side and lived in Atlantic Beach a block north of the ragtime als pizza area. I made that drive twice a day 6 days a week. We closed at 6 pm and one evening I left work and was just getting on the Matthews when as usual some pileup happened on the Arlington expressway with one of the vehicles on fire and to make a long story short it took me till 1 am to get home. 7 freking hours after leaving work. Needless to say even tho the pay was great I took a job for not much less an hr in mayport close to 2 weeks after that incident.

I broke down at the bottom of an off ramp in the worst spot and I had NH state police push me into a gas station and into a parking spot. He told me “ if you haven’t had a tow truck come get you in an hour we’ll leave your car here for the night and I’ll bring you home. I’ll be back in an hours time to check on you. Your about my daughter’s age and I wouldn’t want her sitting on the side of the road for hours.” Sure enough an hour later he shows up while AAA is putting it up on the truck. Restored my faith in the police that not all of them are assholes.

If an auditor does this same interview and gets beat up, arrested, and charged with a crime. Strange

Not all police cruisers were manufactured as police cruisers. The small town I live in have cruisers that were just new vehicles, turned into cruisers by adding lights and accessories that’s needed.

This is an awesome explanation, and the channel showed some really good examples whilst the officer was talking. I'd love to see more of the educational side of these little things :D

5 years ago I was in stop and go traffic south of Boston, about 20 mins away (near Stoughton old exit 18B). My subwoofer was blasting in the traffic and I noticed the battery light came on. I ignored it. Then my subwoofer turned off... Then radio... Then dash lights. Then my car shut off completely. Traffic started clearing up but I was stuck in the left lane. People kept yelling at me to turn on my hazards but I couldn't. I had to use my light on my phone to point towards traffic so we wouldn't get hit. I called the police and they had to push me across four lanes to the side of the road. He didn't help me afterwards, but I was very grateful because I was immobilized. If anyone is wondering what causes that, it's an alternator going out. Very grateful for the push bumper, he even asked me if it was okay if he could push it against my car because it could damage my paint or cause dents or scratches. Very nice cop

I have never ever in my life seen a push bumper used to clear vehicles blocking traffic. They themselves will block more traffic to block the car while waiting hours for it to be moved by someone else

Glad they arent damaging the back of the other car during a pit maneuver

The truth is they are scared someone is going to airbag them just to get away.

From what i learned working with the FHP, they are the only ones who can pit maneuver car chases. The guy i talked to about it said thats why most of the PD departments in Florida don't have push bumpers, some do for that reason to push cars out the way.

I've lived 30+ years .... Never seen a cop once in my life move a vehicle off a highway or otherwise with one of those. I've seen them block traffic till a tow truck arrives, or physically help push it.... But we all know what those are for... It's for pit maneuvers

I was rear-ended by a Nevada highway patrol in a Jeep Cherokee with a push bumper. He tapped my bumper, literally didn't scratch my F150. The push bumper bounce off his hood and made a significant dent.

Never seen a 'sheriff' use a bump bar in any way other than protecting their bumpers while crashing into pedestrians/general publics vehicles.

As a Florida resident the FHP chargers are absolutely nutty and I wouldn't mind snagging one from auction at some point. Baddest cop car out there.

Pushing disabled vehicles is bullshit, I’ve had highway patrol specifically tell me it’s illegal for them to do that in case they accidentally damage your property.

Have literally never seen a cruiser with push bumpers help push off a disabled car. Have seen a few times while the cruiser parks and puts the lights on and does some paperwork while we push the car off.

They've done it to mine when I was blocking the highway after my transmission locked up all wheels on me. It was badass.

Perris CA need that. Came home late one night, ran out of gas, I was on a busy road that my truck will be towed if left behind. The following turn is my neighborhood that I live in, coo pulls up with his lights on, started to integrate the situation. I asked for help pushing my truck off the road with his push bumper. He said no and drove off.

That police officer does know his job and how to talk to the public. He is a good cop from what I've seen

I recently bought a Dodge magnum SXT with a police style pushbar. I know the SXT was never used for police work (I don't think) only the base and R?T models. My magnum was owned by a mechanic and i think he got it from a challenger police car and added it to my magnum when they owned it. I like it, I call it my deer repellant system. The stepson of the owner said it has actually broke a deer's hip one night

My work bus broke down at a very busy intersection once. Cops saw it happen and acted immediately, pushing the bus to an empty parking lot. Every department needs push bumpers.

Never seen a cop push a disabled car outta of the highway.... They usually don't even stop 😂🤣😂 that's for pits and pits only

In the UK all these types of bumpers are banned. Having them installed lowers the speed by a lot the speed at which a child would be killed if struck by the car/truck.

those are brush guards that wrap around the front of the car. They are not meant for impact. The push bars themselves are only held by a few small bolts. You would need an entire bumper replacement to be able to make impact constantly without damaging your ride.

How nice of them to help someone with a disabled vehicle by pushing it off the road. I had my car run out of gas a couple of hundred feet from the gas station. A state cop pulled up behind me & told me if I didn't get my car off the road, she would give me a ticket & have it towed. It was not easy to push the car & steer at the same time by myself. She could have at least steered it for me while I pushed. However she was a massive C word & I hope someone returns the favor when she needs help.

The challenger is an interceptor, made for keeping up and making sure the suspect isn't lost. The other cars are the ones that take it down.

Never explained why they had no pushbar

Never seen them used that to help someone. But I have seen them drive by broken down car.

Cops had to use the push bumper on my truck when the motor blew on the service road, they where super nice and we got it into a parking lot where I got it towed
