Great video! De jure/de facto is always something that confuses new players, and it's difficult to explain it in words, so it's nice to have a video explain it so clearly.

Don't see why this would confusse people. A lot of modern nation as nation anthen that is de facto and not de jure.

how do I get something to stop being de jure, im trying to get better border

Is it possible in ck3 for a duchy title to change it's de jure capital? For example, the Duchy of Cornwall currently has the Earldom of Devon as it's De Jure Capital instead of the Earldom of Cornwall. Is it possible for me to play as the current ruler of the Earldom of Cornwall to somehow usurp the Duchy title, hold it for 100+ years and change the Duchy De Jure Capital via De Jure Drift?

To the best of my knowledge, it's not possible to change de jure capitals. Sorry not to be able to help!

There is an issue with de jure drift where let's say you are a king and are integrating a duchy or two and the de jure kingdom title for those duchies being integrated into your main title it will stop the de jure drift and the only way I've found to fix this is to make that de jure kingdom title independent and conquer it again.

Rizorty - Hi. Not quite the place to say this, (sorry to anyone else reading) but wanted to say thank you for your No Mans Sky Twitch streams. My internet and location don't allow me to follow your streams live. It is interesting to see how someone with no prior knowledge of the game struggles with the somewhat poor explanations the game provides. Never thought about this as I watched quite a bit before purchase (and now have over 300 hours invested!). Many of the tips and tricks don't seem to be explained anywhere for a player which is not good. For some things you don't fully understand I really would recommend looking at a NMS wiki type help as I doubt any player can just pick up all the different ideas needed, or at least properly understand what they have found or are seeing. Anyway, thank you again for the entertaining content. All the best.

Hi Mike -- thanks so much for taking the time to write and for such generous feedback. I think you're absolutely right that games like NMS are better when played with a Wiki open. The one I'm playing now--Darkest Dungeon--is similar. I don't particularly enjoy having to go outside a game to figure it out, but that's where we are. Glad you're enjoying the streams. How do you reverse de jure drift. I have the title of Emperor of the Byzantine Empire and hold the Despostate of Anatolikon and Despostate of Thessalonike. Now I will the you my problem as Despot of Thessalonike I want all the duchy that orignaly belonged to the Despostate. Thessalonike duchy and duchy of Styrmon have drifted to the Despostate of Bulgaria which is also my vassal as Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. Now how do I get thosetwo duchies to drift back to me as in the the Despostate of Thessalonike?

De jure drift might be the coolest mechanic in the game compared to how niche it is

I was so confused why my Ireland title had half Wales and Isle of Man. Now I know, is De jure Drift😭. Bad for me because I want to finish the Spanish Struggle as Ireland Emperor but I can't bbecause I need all the provinces in Irish king title being Irish and Catholic, and the ones in Wales are Welsh and Isle of Man is Goidelic or something, not Irish

There is also another thing which the game don't deal with. Two kingdomes can have the same de jure territorium.
