Have you ever tried using the songs of your youth to learn music with, like Camilo suggests at 22:20? Let us know! (+ if you're feeling brave, share what they were! 😃)

Camilo (and Christopher), a fine presentation and discussion of your journey and ongoing efforts on behalf of the musician community. When I taught around the world in industry, we talked about the difference between Education and Training. Students in an educational setting are actually allowed to fail, whether it's due to the process or the choices of the learner. In Training, it was the responsibility of the trainer to get 100% of the learners to acquire and demonstrate the knowledge and skills that were promised by the event. This echoes strongly with today's presentation, where the Coach is doing the same for the musician-learner. The main difference: I had a group (from 15 to maybe 400) that I had to work to get to 100%, and the Coach scenario is more personal and direct. Lots of parallels and similarities, though! Again, thanks for this presentation....

That's really interesting to hear about! Clearly every teacher wants every student to succeed - but there's definitely a shift happening (related, I think, to the "talent myth" being debunked) from "education as delivering lessons" to "education as dynamically helping each student to acquire the knowledge and skills through a variety of means". Great to hear of your experience here, thanks for sharing!
