June’s HIV+ Eatery, presented by RBC is a 3-night dining experience where the meal is prepared by people living with HIV. It launched Casey House's #smashstigma campaign in 2017 and took place again in March, 2020.
Three nights of delicious food made collaboratively by a team of HIV+ chefs and the professionals from Fidel Gastro’s impressed over 240 guests and spread the word that we need to keep working to #smashstigma around HIV.
For many people living with HIV/AIDS, it’s the stigma that hurts the most. June’s HIV+ Eatery is an opportunity to fight stigma with every bite. To come together in a show of love, support and acceptance, and to dispel the myths about HIV that condemn so many to suffer in silence.
