Seems the more you pay the more you play because of quality & extraordinary tone which does not come cheap. I love Yamaha I've had my FSC-TA for almost a year and I love her ❤ & I'll keep her forever, I told my granddaughter when I pass it on to her, it will have my spirit so she must play her to keep grandpa's spirit happy 😊❤🎸❤️

I also have two old guitars that I would never part with and my grandson will inherit.

I totally agree , the magic is mainly in the hands, still if one want to play flamenco and have that nervous sound, a good flamenco guitar is better than a classical one. I have a yamaha cx 40 The sound got better over the years but still find difficulties when it comes to some flamenco techniques like alzapua, picado. Other than that I try to put more efforts on the melody /progression in improvisation than trying to upgrade the flamenco techniques cause I met the guitar's limit and I knew it after I played on flamenco guitar for one year and clearly figured the differences in terms of playability and easiness in technique execution especially in terms of brightness and sound clarity. If you love your instrument, it will speak to you anyways.

Thanks. I also played flamenco on a classical guitar , with lowered action ( see my early videos) , and thought it was pretty good but after getting the Yamaha flamenco model, found it so much easier to play. Mostly used a capo on the classical, but now never use one on the Yamaha. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you for this video, I watched your other one featuring this guitar as well. Do you play classical or other finger style? The reason I ask is because I am trying to find an inexpensive guitar to start learning classical. The playability and price is what appeals to me. The bonus is I could try flamenco as well. I think I would just set it up for minimal or no buzz at first. @francisgrant1 has a video where he played bach on it and it sounded really nice. How do you think this one will do? The classicals I tried have higher action than I am used to.

@@clayb.1859 Flamenco models will usually have easier playability, so if that is important and you don't need the pure classical tone, a flamenco guitar will do both. However, budget classical models can be very cheap and action can be lowered to some extent, but could be difficult to get the the same playability as a flamenco guitar. It's a personal choice, but I am happy to use the flamenco guitar for all styles.

@@duendedude2345 thank you, I think that's where I'm at. Playability is number one for me right now. I'm used to super low electrics and steel strings. I'll just be playing for friends, family or alone. I don't really need to dig in and get volume. I think it might lend itself well to baroque type music . Maybe if I stick with it then get a traditional classical but I believe this will get the job done.

@@clayb.1859Agreed. If you need more volume, you can fit a DIY pickup as I have done. See my video on best place to fit a piezo pickup. Volume will also increase as the top frees up with playing and time.
