Filmmaker Ken Burns selected as the Class of 2024 Commencement Speaker
Ken Burns, filmmaker for over 50 years, shares his wisdom, insight and that of our most notable history makers to impart a true north sense of direction upon the Brandeis University of Waltham, Massachusetts 2024 Graduates.
His self proclaimed rule of being unbiased and impartial was broken this one time due to the monumental importance of this year's Presidential Election.
WHY POST THIS HERE? THIS, I FEEL, IS [ Where to Start ] At the risk of being accused of plagiarism, I want to state that, What I get from this speech is a call for objectivity in our society.
We can't solve the problems in our lives or in our communities until we step back and truly see the situation from a new perspective. Just as a photographer changes the zoom adjustment to get more or less content for their purposes, so too can we, take the time to see how this moment is affecting the sum of the whole or greater good.
