I saw something on tumblr once that said “Aziraphale was trying to say ‘I love you now, but I miss your smile when I first met you and want you to get it back’ and what Crowley was hearing was ‘I love you despite your demonic self, because I’m an angel.’ And Crowley just wanted to hear ‘I look at you and I love all of you.’”

god the heartbreak first with Crowley as he hears Aziraphale basically say I want more I want to fix you and then with Aziraphale at the end seeing Crowley walk away and telling him that his forgiveness isn't enough because its not what ne needs god that ending just broke my heart they are so very much two people who grew up with toxic religion and fell in love despite it going against their religion but one got out and was able to find a kind of peace on his own while the other got out but is still very brainwashed so sad

3:18 Every time I watch that scene and when Aziraphale says: "Well, there's nothing more to say." I always yell: "There is everything left to say!" Ha ha ha. Hopefully they're better at communicating in season 3.

What gets me is that crowley loves living things and the beauty of creation more than anyone. 😢

Exactly, he's not evil just because he's a demon, he's never been evil. He has a stronger moral code than most angels, including Aziraphale sometimes. He was horrified at the flood, saying "not the kids, you can't kill kids" while Aziraphale was uncomfortable with it but was insisting it was fine because it was God's will. I think of that everytime Aziraphale sees Crowley does something kind and points it out, like see! You are nice, I was right! As if to prove he still has an angelic nature. He's completely missing the point that "angelic" and "nice" are not synonmyms. Crowley loves creation and life and humans far more than all the angels in Heaven combined and yet Aziraphale is too brainwashed into thinking Heaven can do no wrong that he cant see that Crowley doesn't have to be an angel to be a good person. 😭😭😭😭😭

This end litteraly broke my heart appart, still picking up the pieces until i get a season 3 where they have their fucking happy ending and they can be an "us" and runaway together... I was dying about how cute they were the whole season, and then they dropped this end ! And David and Micheal made it worst in the way they acted, I actually felt like it was a real conversation between two real people. If someone would have see me when i watched it... I was a mess like i've never been before. They really are great actors ! I would also like to add how much i'm in LOVE with the way you edited the kiss scene, all of the flashback coming up like this, I just love it. I'm going to watch this season all over again until season 3 and cry over all the heartbreaking edits people are going to make. I'm litteraly obsessed, i'm so involved in their relationship, but their love is so genuine, it can't end up like this, it would be a shame if they don't have their happy ending. Anyway I love what you made

omg i was an actual mess after finishing the season that i proceeded to spend 20 minutes in shock/despair, 2 hours on tumblr, and then 7 hours editing this. Michael Sheen and David Tennant deserve Oscars for this. And thank you so much for appreciating the kiss scene. That part took the longest to edit, and had so much going on that i couldn't even play it without premiere pro crashing. They literally created the universe together!!! I am putting my trust in Neil Gaiman to fix this in season 3, though it sucks we have to wait 3 more years. I guess thats nothing to Crowley and Aziraphale though. Anyways, thank you so much for watching and commenting

​@@demonicseriesI feel U. Every time I think I'll get over them, I just fall apart again. I am currently watching the show for the third time while reading the book. I keep laughing and crying but mostly, I'm miserable all day long, barely coping. NOTHING has taken such a toll on me before.

INSAAANEEEEE ugh this is so good. the way aziraphale always says i forgive you when crowley asks him to leave or go off together and he clearly wants to (the way he pauses with that hopeful look in his eyes at the notion of together), but to him it might sound like a temptation that leads him away from heaven, which he believes to be fundamentally good. the way he mouths no desperately at crowley's retreating figure. the way he touches his lips gingerly where crowley gave him one last desperate plea. just. so good.

what you did with the kiss was so beautiful, i'm crying

In the Brazilian dub, Aziraphale calls Crowley dear at the end, he says "oh Crowley QUERIDO, nada dura para sempre.." It means "oh Crowley DEAR nothing lasts forever" (I still don't know if I find that cute or even sadder.)

@@demonicseries Yes, and I also forgot to mention that in some scenes of season 1 and 2, Crowley calls Aziraphale MY angel in the Brazilian dub, it's very sweet. 🥺

Wow, a great edit, so well-put together! The best part was at the kiss, with the montage overlaying it, just perfect... and perfectly heartbreaking. I really think that Aziraphale's eyes just aren't opened yet. Crowley is cynical, true... but with good reason. Aziraphale is clinging stubbornly to his belief that good and evil are so black and white, despite all he's seen and experienced. Sadly, the only thing that is going to force his eyes open is for him to go through with this... alone. I have little doubt that we will see this story continue. This isn't the resolution; this is the bridge to get there.

The number of times I've seen that final argument... I'm a sadist I know... what a master class from Michael and David. But especially Azi's microexpressions when finally hearing Crowley's confession yet not being able to fully accept it because at his core he still believes in Heaven more than anything. Urrgh heartwrenching... how Michael Sheen captures that with just his eyes is awe-inspiring!!

Anyone else wonder what Crowley was REALLY going to say? What he was going to start saying and never stop - before he was asked to stop? I feel like his original speech was something else and he gets shocked back to the same arguments - it’s us vs. them, our side vs. them, go away with me… the kiss is the only difference to many go-arounds they have had before.
