Actually its not much work to get it up to 170. What you need is a whole performance exhaust system with a 400cell catalytic converter, Performance air filter (don't go for a full cold air intake, it has a big enough snorkel), and a more capable computer, then have it tuned. If you want throttle response, then full carbon hood, lightweight pulleys, and of course, military grade light alloy wheels, performance suspension (less weight) and full coilovers (also less weight and more traction). I had an old 1999 2.0 litre. In the windy roads where I live you weren't as much driving it as you were hanging on for your dear life. In a twist of Irony, I totalled it while crashing into the behind of a golf R32! :D Now I wait for a quality model 2008 to come on public sale.

@@Beef1188 I think this is so hard for small plus HP. Much easier, simple buy genesis or subaru brz, Honda s200, or 370z,in my region these car have the same price. I think it makes a sens do only turbo for feel a real plus for HP and speed. But it very expensive and this car nevertheless a front wheel drive, because of this will be shrink and don't go faster or 7 second or 100 km/h or 60 mph. I have a friend on 2.7 atmosphere in tuning, her engine have a 250 HP, he has spent more money, but car have a 7 second to 100 km/h and in real time this is not a fast,any other business sedan like passat cc 2.0 turbo dsg will have the same acceleration, and most likely will go more and faster, because of these i have a question, have tuning this car a sense ? Tuning a car is more like making the car act more like the way you want. I didn't tune it because I wanted more power, I tuned it because the engine was lazy. I got consistently overtaken by jerks with 20hp less than me because the engine needed "time" when I stepped on the gas.

@@Beef1188 I totally agree with you, and I understand what you mean. But in my region for a five years continues war , and i have a difficult financial situation , because of which i can not afford to repeat your experience and think well about new purchases/

@@Stelomat yes but stock is actUlly about 100-110 whp he’s doing about 130-150whp in the video which is very very good N/A level for this tib
