Nothing to do with sir, but I observed all the rich business from North in Hyderabad, India spend weekends with families at outside city. No body told me such things in Mumbai. I am specific on joint families. Bondage with grand children, part of family politics😢

'I did not give enough love to my children'. In that statement lies the whole crux of the matter. Not to excuse anyone's behaviour, but generational trauma is a very destructive and potent force.

Children mimick and learn from parents. I sympathize with his predicament but I feel like his current predicament is a hole he dug for himself while raising his children when he was working at Raymond. Today he feels as if his sons don't think of him as their father, but this sentiment may have been something his own sons had pent up even during their childhoods. Now the children are grown up so they have released those pent up sentiments. But who knows? We all don't know what really happened in the Singhania family. This situation is a stark contrast to the Ambani family or the Tata family. The core issue is not about giving away your lifetime wealth to your loved ones, it's the way you raise them.

I don't agree. There is a muhavra in Hindi which tells all the story "poot Kapoot to kyu dhan sanchay poot sapoot to kyu dhan sanchay". There r children well raised by parents but still they do not end up respecting them and vice versa is also true. We as human have tendency to blame others but not always a blacksmith is in fault the hammer itself can have faulty material.

This is painful but more the pain it inflicts when you realise what mistakes you did, this regret is painful and to top it off you are lonely and living like if someone's in exile without his family and people. It's just like counting every second until death knocks on your door. This is excruciatingly painful just to listen to him.

Lucky the son coming to father's house to meet mum. How sir gave away without sharing with wife i don't understand. Ambani's family property was divided into 3 including mum, with non competition clause for 10 years. This is all objective disorder with more inner love than expressive love. The rift is this , the unrealised truth that father had unexpressed love for kids and grandkids.

While I have sympathy for his circumstances, don't forget that Vijaypat did the same thing to his oldest son. He gave 95% of his business to his younger son Gautam and his older son left the country with his entire family in shame. This entire family is without morals and this is just intergenerational karma striking them.

Money doesn't buy happiness and money isn't a replacement for family love. He spent too much time making money and gave no love to his children. He was busy chasing the dream earning money, thinking it's a status to freedom. You reap and you have sowed. If you sowed incorrect, you will eventually reap contaminated crop. This is his own doing. I don't feel sorry for people like this.
