You used to. But it was all knocked down to build your down town areas, skyscrapers, city highways, and Appartement complexes. For example the New York wall Street and downtown area used to be a 17th-18th century city center much like you see here. Same for most of the old 13 colonies. The Philadelphia hall for example is one of the few remaining buildings of this old era. Look up an old map from the 1700's of New York/new Amsterdam. It looks remarkably like a traditional European city!

+Edward Adams are there trolleybuses there? I did not see any running and only saw one road with the wiring. As for PCC's I did not see that many as well.

The PCC trams were outdated in every way and were replaced with the newer longer trams. Belgian PCCs were definitely not better except maybe looks. They have much lower capacity, if you link them you can't go from the front to the back, and most importantly accessibility for handicapped people or elderly people or buggies/prams for kids is awful due to the high floor and several steps to get on. Plus the folding doors were very narrow again making it difficult for the handicapped or the elderly or buggies with kids. You couldn't carry on any cargo of any decent size. And finally It was near impossible to carry your bike on. They phased those trams out in the early 2000's and replaced them with the new longer trams that have far higher capacity and far easier accesability for many more people, including wheel chairs, prams, bikes, ... You can still find the old trams in Antwerp, but now being used to the new ones as I'm from Gent, I notice just what a horrible nightmare they were...
