@@Sl-by1ss Another Paris fan here, it's really a tough question to answer. When coming to PSG he wanted to implement his 3-5-2 which didn't work out in the end, leading to changing the formation every time we found a more efficient one on a specific night. Basically after six months or so, PSG's tactics were a permanent lab. Tuchel has tried tactical coups here and there but more often than not they were failures. And yet im convinced he is a brilliant tactician, i just hope he will have more power and freedom at Chelsea than he did in Paris, because we could defo benefit from having a coach that the bosses trust and empower. Attitude wise it's also a tough one, his arrival in Paris showed a very friendly coach immediately making a friend of Neymar and learning French extremely fast (which i assume is a pain in the a**). Again though, once the difficulties started he got very defensive with journalists, seemingly unable and unwilling to discuss his choices. In his last months it basically culminated in a war with the sporting director (they didn't like each other much). This should be of more concern, however, as his Dortmund tenure ended in the same kind of conflict with his direction, so beware of his nasty side once times get tough. But even though i hated him in the last months i also remember him turning Di Maria into a literal football god for about a year and a half, gaining the trust of his men rapidly, and emphasizing intensity in the style of play which is even more crucial in the PL as it is in L1. I am glad he's gone, but i wish him luck and i'm convinced it only takes a slightly different scenario to make him a great coach for you guys. Best of luck from Paris

Only problem I have with Tuchel: (Being a PSG fan) - He doesn't push his players. He never asks his players to press, but rather push back and counter. After Pochettino came in and pressed PSG have played much better, I fear he does the same for Chelsea. However he likes to experiment, putting defenders in midfield and it sometimes works. Give him some time. I don't like how after one critical match, if he loses that match he goes downhill. E.G Psg losing the CL Final, all went downhill from there.

@@kirksouth502 its a bit of both. Its clear things became untenable under Lampard and with past managers the board were in disagreement. I don't think Tuchel will be a bad decision and the board were in my opinion trusting until major issue arrived with lamps

TT has won trophies too and also showed the importance of having plan B. FL failed at Chelsea FC for not having plan B when his tactics don't work.

In many ways Tuchel is like a light version of Klopp in terms of his managing abilities. He's very engaged & vocal during games & is addicted to tactical innovations. He's even been endorsed by Klopp in the past.

Thomas talked more to the players actually coaching them in this one session than i saw in any of the other chelsea training session videos with Frank.

I think he is more of a super sub. Every game you see, when he is substituted, he brings that energy to the game which is much needed.

Hard to judge his resume at PSG when he had an all star team, including Mbappe and Neymar

My expectation will not by too high for today’s game, he only been with team for 2 days. A draw would be suffice, but can’t wait what he can bring in the future.

I’ve been watching Tuchel for a while now, he’s extremely tactically flexible when it comes to game management I recommend everyone to go rewatch the PSG vs Liverpool game back in 2018 in Paris. A 4-2-3-1 masterclass against Klopp he had Di Maria and Mbappe to track back (making it almost a 4-4-2) while having Marquinhos and Verratti to help out Bernat and Keher on the flanks whenever Salah and Mane received the ball. Quick transitions with Neymar dropping into midfield to find Di Maria or Mbappe who had space to run into.

As a PSG fan he doesn't really improve players, he's more team-focused as he put Marquinhos in midfield and other weird choices. But maybe he needed to be that way because there already were stars in the squad like Ney and Mbappé. Go gunners

I liked how he got involved and was running alongside the players as they were playing 5/7-aside almost like a referee and then gave first hand instructions on the go. 👏

I hope you're not saying Lampard had no plan and didn't know what he was doing. Even Klopp said it is obvious Lampard has a plan but the board is impatient. Anyways... I miss Frank (and it's not sad because he will come back stronger from this) but I'm backing Tuchel all the way.

I hope we do give Tuchel enough time and back him properly in the transfer market when he asks for players, just hope the board stop getting involved and actually back Tuchel when a player is not showing commitment and just get rid of them instead of the manager thats what Alex Ferguson did had the power to get rid of a player not showing the commitment

I personally think the club had this manager lined up the last two months and were a bit shady getting rid of lamps but we need to get behind this new manager I’m back to team KTBFFH
