These poor people, my heart really goes out to this family. I always recommend the Smurl case to any arrogant type skeptics who snidely write this stuff off as if it never happens. It absolutely does happen. Demons are very, very real. I didn't believe in it myself until my own encounter with the preternatural. But I thank God for it, because it helped bring me back to my faith and put me back on the road to loving and worshipping my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God bless you, Tony! Thank you for all the work you have done over the years and continue to do! ☦

It's not as if "it never happens," but rather what is really happening. I'm sure that the demons in your head are very, very real to you. Don't be an arrogant type who presumes that it's happening anywhere outside your head and perhaps in the heads of others prone to hysteria, schizophrenia, borderline personalty disorder, and so on. There's a reason that these "haunted house" phonomema tend to follow people and families. Such families tend to be extremely superstitious and deeply troubled: the Smurls and Lutzes were textbook examples. But it's great storytelling, at least until one tires of hearing the same themes over and over.

Occurrences very similar to those described by a friend of mine, here in Melbourne, Australia. She lived in an old deco-period apartment at 4 Bay Street, Brighton. She, other housemates and guests would see and hear their own various forms of unexplainable activity during my friend's time there. The loud stomping in this video really resonates here. Narelle and her sister would be downstairs, in the kitchen and hear heavy walking directly above them, as though someone were stomping from one end of the floor to the other, in protest, as though having just finished having an argument with another person. This would be followed immediately by a slamming bedroom door. Then, it would repeat a few moments later, from the end where the door slammed, back to the other end of the floor, followed again by a door being slammed. Narelle (my friend) and visitors would hear the giggling of children, when no children were present. A friend of Narelle's visited one day and said that she immediately saw three children - two girls and a boy - sitting about two steps up from the bottom of the staircase. They were all focussing into the center of the group, as though playing a game together - cards or a board game, or something similar. Another recurring incident was an apparition of a woman who would appear in the upstairs bathroom. She would appear generally when it were males using the bathroom. She'd appear at the bathroom door, as though blocking it. One male friend of Narelle's had been using the toilet there one night, during a party, and said he saw her. After he'd come flying back down the stairs he told the group what he'd seen: The woman stood there, all white, completely still, guarding the doorway. The guy wanted to exit the bathroom but something told him not to pass through her, under any circumstances. He'd made his exit after she vanished. Narelle said he was teary-eyed and as white as a sheet as he described what had just happened. There was another room upstairs that no one used, but whenever anyone walked past it, they sensed the presence of someone watching them from inside. People said they would feel their attention being drawn to look inside the room as they passed by it. Both the housemates and their guests felt its presence. The story that freaked the hell out of me was of an entity Narelle encountered one night in her bedroom. She was in bed with a female friend who had asked to share her bed because of that other vacant room giving her the creeps. Narelle, herself, woke in the early hours to see a grey figure standing right beside her bed, facing her. The figure was leaning forward slightly, as though "observing" her. She said it has long, thin arms that extended down past the waist - longer than was normal for a human figure. I remember when I asked her what its face looked like, she replied, "It's didn't have one. Its face was featureless." The building has since been demolished and replaced by a new apartment block. The original would've been a bloody awesome place to check out! That figure-by-the-bed story, though... If that had been me, I would've just found the closest window and TIPPED the fk straight out!!

Seeing Lorraine in this video makes me miss her more.😢 I had the unique opportunity to speak to this fascinating and incredible lady by telephone some years back. I am angry that I cannot remember the exact year, but, I do recall the Universe leading me to "stumble" upon her phone number online and I literally kept feeling this strange urge to dial her. It was as if "something" or "someone" was pushing me to muster courage to dial her and I did. To my surprise, she actually answered the phone. Her voice was so sweet. She told me she wasn't going to answer the phone but something told her to do so. I told her my name and why I was calling. I remember her telling me she'd been caring for Ed because he was not well. I couldn't believe I was speaking to someone I idolized. I've had a long time dream of being a paranormal investigator with my own unique team. I wanted some advice from her and also to find out if she knew of any schools that taught and certified paranormal students. At the time, she only knew of a school in Pennsylvania. Anyway, she began talking to me as if she'd known me her whole life. I can honestly say my behavior was the same toward her. We talked about her childhood, how she met Ed, she spoke about her mother and father and she comically talked about when she and Ed were young and courting how he came to her parent's home to have dinner and how her father liked to mess with Ed. I also found out our birthdays are the same month. Her daughter, Judy, has the same first name as my mother and there were other mind blowing similarities in our lives. We talked for well over an hour. I cannot express in words 🙏 what, I, to this day, carry in my heart after my long conversation with her. As far as I'm concerned, I had the unique opportunity to speak to a real queen 👑. Yes, I did have a long wonderful and comical conversation with Her Majesty of the paranormal world. I was in shock and heartbroken when I saw on the news she passed away. I know now why the Universe created that wonderful moment that belonged to only she and I. I am forever humbled and grateful 🙏. I miss you, Lorraine and thank you for sharing your time and laughter with me. I love you. ❤❤❤❤ RIP Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Original Ghostbusters👑👑

I'm Clairvoyant and on my father's side I'm MEXICAN / NATIVE AMERICAN and in tune with my spirit guides and on my mother's side I'm HUNGARIAN / ROMANIAN a gypsy if you will. My mother and dad had the gift, they both passed. My late great grandma had the gift and used to help the police with missing cases, especially the children gone missing and she found them. With that said all my kids have the GIFT of ethier "SEEING, HEARING, SENSORY" as all 4 of my grandkid's as well. My siblings have the gift but mainly one of my older brother and I are the ones that are more Clairvoyant then the others, where we can see, hear, sensory , sense more so then our other siblings. When I talk to even strangers, I'll get the dead spirits asking me questions to ask their love one that I'm talking to. If I don't the spirit gets louder and will continue to all until I am that person. How I validate it is by asking the question, then the person will respond with a "how did you know that" I can see even bad spirits around people that are attached to them. The dark shadows aren't always bad because I've seen light to medium shadows and I can sense of they committed suicide but lost their way and they haven't gone to heaven or hell. It's like they are in purgatory. I can hear voices from spirits, I can see WORDS in BIG BOLD BLACK LETTERS around people. I can and have seen full body apparitions like I can see a real live person. I've been like this since I was a kid. I NEVER will any spirits to me ever! They know who we are, meaning that they know we can communicate with the dead. They will all questions to us to their love ones. I always protect myself with WHITE LIGHT, LOVE, MY GUARDIAN ANGEL, MY SPIRIT GUIDES, & GOD'S MOST POWERFUL ARMY FROM HIS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. I NEVER EVER USE ANY QUIJA BOARDS or any type of SPIRIT BOXES, they are the same as using a QUIJA BOARD. People just really have no idea what they open when they use those!

I'll reserve comment on whether Lorraine and Ed Warren are kind or humble, but one thing's for sure: if this talk of toilets flushing by themselves, someone hearing their name or getting the sensation of being touched or pushed, or seeing a rough form of a four-legged animal running across the room sends chills up your spine, you should avoid reading anything about mass shootings, what the Russian military is doing to Ukrainian citizens (or its own soldiers), or other examples of "mayhem around the globe."

Valerie Ronquillo You’re joking right? Wasn’t Ed and Lorraine part of the Amityville Scheme? It’s fun to believe in these stories when you’re a kid! But we are ALL grown up now! All this is money driven! so they tell you what you want to hear! There’s an explanation for everything! If the house had cold spots they probably needed a new furnace! It’s laughable that people believes in this crap! All these people are story tellers! and any rational person would see through this.

I envy those that can see into the veil. I'm told I'm empathic. I feel things not coming "from me" this summer on the morning of june 6th I woke up hysterically crying nit know why but asking "but who was that, who was that poor man?" Come to f8ne out sleeping g next to me was my husband who told me, remember I had a cousin that killed himself?" I said oh yeah I remember, ..." well my husband said, the anniversary was 6/6. He died in 2006. 6/6/06. I remembered it happened not the date. I just pick up the feeling g of people near me or on tv in interviews. Movies not really...reality and news with real people is more how it happens if it's not in person. Cemeteries are draining, I get very tired like I have the flu. Wakes and funerals are draining. Esoe ially when I'm there just showing support and have no ties to the person lost. If I have no real feelings gs of my own other than sympathy thsts when others will flood my mind and feelings most

The Warrens didn't understand any better what was happening any more than the Smurls did, but at least the Warrens provided a sympathetic ear and a comforting narrative that appealed to their superstitions. It is unfortunate that those enduring mass hysteria are targets of derision (and of the Warrens), but the elder Smurls, superstitious as they are, aren't entirely blameless.
