Supposedly a couple years back some former executives and employees were going to restart the brand as an online e-commerce business with a small stores here and there similar to AT&T stores in shopping malls. I don't know exactly what became of that idea but apparently it didn't work out.

@@ethanedwards7557 Best Buy is going downhill too. Their customer service is terrible and their products are overpriced compare to Amazon or other online retailers. There’s really no need to go their stores with the advent of online shopping.
The first Circuit City urban exploration ever on KZread! You’re amazing!!! And it’s funny how you’re seeing other stuff from stores that are defunct or about to be defunct inside a defunct store lol
I hate when people go into abandoned buildings and write graffiti everywhere.

My first amp was from Circuit City it was a Sherwood, can't remember the wattage.
Finally a look inside! I always wanted to see what it looks like in there!
The rusty hole in the floor is most likely a floor drain, with a backflow preventer.

I'm surprised you guy's haven't encountered that possessed old lady making that noise in the background. 😂😂😂
Great video Wallie! The Circuit City in the area where I grew up closed in 2009, then in 2011, it became a PetSmart and it's been a PetSmart ever since.

Judging by how daily dry it is in the facility, (obviously some mold but not too damp) I’m sure they’d still work.
A lot of the ambient noise is probably because the building is being eaten by a landfill

Circuit City is where I got my PS2! I loved that store amazing Nostalgia
Imagine if you found the circuit city sign that went out front in there
Hey guys. My 7 y/o loves these lol. Anyhow. Most of what you’re looking at here for fixtures are from sears. The shaver case are bin tickets from sears. The three tier carpeted rolling fixtures are from sears air conditioner displays. My guess is the liquidators were using that space to sell off fixtures and displays from other stores. The display that you said were for cd’s is actually from the intimate apparel department of a sears and held hosiery. Keep it up. I’m a 30 year retail guy. Feel free to hit me up with any questions.
I'm liking big time. Thanks for exploring for us, the people!
I went to this circuit city 2 yrs ago and found 7,500 dollars in the safe!! 😀
At 30:34 you can see they walled off the area that is still Circuit City, I guess being walled off created a time capsule . The black wall with all the receptacles just a great remanence of Circuit City. It makes me think they drove a fork lift through the wall. Maybe a quick access to the garage doors, when Bottom Dollar moved out.

Love the old stereo play area towards the end. I spent many hours as a 16 year old in ours here in town pressing all the different red buttons playing music band picking cool speakers. Right next to that is where he found the install tech certificate that’s where they did all the installs after you bought them so many memories all of these dang store were the same lol
This is so awesome I was born and raised in this area definitely brings back memories
Thank you. Just what I wanted to see

Finding the Bottom Dollar sign gave me American Pickers vibes. The set is out of the rig, the seats have shock absorbers. Love your channel, just discovered you yesterday Feb 1st 21.
I loved Circuit City. Probly my favirite store.
Cool video! CC never did opened near me in my area, it was more Best buy in central Iowa.
The garage you were in was the car audio install bay. I almost worked for Circuit City back in the day.
Those tags in the glass locking cabinet reminded me of ones from SEARS. Not to mention there's a red sale sticker like they'd put on the shelves for the weekly sales on the floor near that toaster around 25:25.
Great video walli B

Is this where you've been? Glad you got an exclusive.
Love your vids Guys very Brave
Awesome you got the exclusive for this place. It looks like everything but the kitchen sink was thrown in this Circuit city. Or was it also an MC Sports. Or a Bottom Dollar. I guess with Circuit City tanking in the late 2000s it was an easy place for other retailers to set up shop. You are braver than me. One strange noise and I would be running. But you had a buddy there for backup. And retail exploring is good for the soul. :) From the Russian stuff in there maybe Fearless Leader told Boris and Natasha to go study typical American Shopping plaza and try to lure Moose and Squirrel there. HAHAHAHA

I'm surprised they didn't more thoroughly survey the landfill before they spent all that money and time building that shopping mall because it was a catastrophic failure from the get go obviously!
I have that same alligator, I got about 15 years ago at Shopko.
Thank you
The tags on the peg board look like K-mart tags
What a true waste of Manpower and money the fact that they took years to build this shopping mall and spent billions of dollars and then abandoned it within a few years.
Mission accomplished!
I should tour an abandoned Circuit City soon!
I always wanted to see inside of an abandoned Circuit City! Since this was transformed, there wasn't much things reminiscent of the store. But, I can't go without saying that you need one thing with Circuit City on it to know what the store was! Besides, great and enjoyable video my friend!

I kept waiting for a homeless person to pop out from anywhere lol
Oh my God you found a long lost circuit city
Yes the top is for a first gen Bronco
@26:35 those SoundTube are around $50 working like that. I believe a new one goes around $400.
Just like the houses you two explored they left a ton of stuff behind.
I guess technically is why circuit city and Radio Shack closed. People shop online now also most do not by cd’s and movies anymore which is what circuit city sold a lot of. I remember shopping their to.
All I remember is that this wasn't a bottom dollar for long for those wondering what a bottom dollar was it is basically like a junkier version of dollar general

Blues Brothers sequel practice drive through part of the back wall of the old Circuit City store? Funniest thing is they JUST demolished the old abandoned mall that they used in that movie a handful of years ago now.

There isn’t actually much Circuit City in there. So the other renters/businesses, must have known they would not be there long or had future plans of a remodel.
