Unfortunately, the SDGs are unachievable under the present environment in many countries where dysfunctional government, organised corruption, corrective action paralysis on the part of most governments etc. are complicit in the economic chaos witnessed every day. Solution? Complete reengineering of governance systems throughout the Third World, adoption of brand new values by those in power, and putting competent and ethical individuals in leadership positions. Unless these things happen, Third World countries are headed for a devastating economic meltdown from which recovery will be impossible.

How much tax are the major social media platforms paying to African countries? Why not just implement the recently agreed minimum tax rate of 15 per cent on social media platforms. These tax havens are actually owned and controlled by major economies who are always quick to blacklist the likes of Botswana and SA for weak financial legal and regulatory infrastructure.

1st and foremost, 🇿🇼 s must learn to fight injustices in their country. They were suppose to fight and join BRICS. TM was still correct. At that time if you still remember the clarity on what causes HIV/AIDS(virus vs syndrome)was not explained. ARVs that needed someone to eat a proper meal was dangerous to the patient's immune system. If you want to criticize TM, at least read his interviews/explanation on the matter.

The man essentially ran South Africa until he got removed by the ANC. It was he who was leader when the ANC began the whole state capture story. He put the lid on the arms scandal right from the beginning. He was an AIDS denier resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands of south Africans. It’s nonsensical for SABC to give him airtime. He started the cadre deployment. To look on him now as a hero is beyond belief.

  • @ntsikelelomzayiya1503

Bafo this man never denied the AIDS issue. He asked about the first 8 caues of death in SA, HIV/AIDS was number 9 then(2006). He asked about the price of ARVs, they were too expensive for government in the long run, which effectively would worsen the first 8 cauess of dearh in SA; therefore how do we get them cheaper, so that government afford them. The implementation of the rollout of ARVs has been sustainable as a result of that work. The ARV thing shame must be left alone.

  • @Zam-mi9wz

Indeed Thabo never denied Aids, it was the media that called him an aids denier. As a matter of fact when a person makes this statement, it must be regarded as misinformation because that's what it is. Secondly, Mbeki grew our economy year on year by 6 percent and that is the last time in this democratic dispensation our economy was able to grow more than 3%. Regarding state capture starting during Mbeki's presidency, you have to be an ideologue to believe such a lie. It is okay not to like Thabo because no one can be liked by all people, however, it is not okay to rewrite history and having done that, seek to gaslight all of us as though we were not here when Mbeki was president.
