I'm trans and I totally support Riley and all these women athletes. I've been on hrt for years and I would still have an unfair advantage over a natal female of a similar age and level of training. It's more than just hormones and it's totally inappropriate for anyone with male genitalia to be in a women's locker room. People like Lia are giving trans people a bad name.

It is a form of sexual abuse to be naked in a female's locker room with a biological male present. Sport is about achievement + competition and in team sports its also about socializing and forming life long friendships- on away trips so very much is shared over girl bonding sessions and is really special. Being forced to have a male in a female sports team completely changes the dynamics. What this demonstrates is the utter failure of adults to lead and stand up for the girls, from coaches to heads of sporting departments and more. These young women show what leadership and moral conviction and courage are.

Being against trans males competing alongside women in sports is NOT transphobic. It means you are defending women and are aligned with the reality of biology. In fact if you don't have fear nor hate then that label doesn't apply to you, and if you just get called that it means the other side doesn't have any good arguments against defending women and respecting biology. It's high time we realize this is a cultural war, and there are people willing to subdue and harass women to get what they want.

It only got this far because people were afraid of their jobs if they said "NO" to this nonsense. So who's responsible at the top level for pushing this? I think it's reprehensible that they'd vote for ideology over scientific facts, and then expect everyone, including athletes and fans, to sort of just not notice the problem with the elephant in the room. And then of course, did the female athletes ever have a say, how did they feel about having a male compete and change with them? Apparently they weren't asked! They were told! My guess is, that this is insurance company and lawyer driven. Why? Because if you're an institution, and some boy says, "Hey, I'm a girl now." In today's woke world, if you say, "nice try pal." That kid's parents will get a free attorney an sue your a$$ off. Why? Because attorney's that take on this kind of filth, are working on a contingency, and institutions have incredibly deep pockets. So poof, the kid and his parents lawyer up for free. A letter or suit is sent, to which the institution now has to shell out money, to respond too. So instantly, here comes the money suck from the institution. And what does the institution do, along with being forced to formerly respond (and lawyer up)? They call their insurance provider. And what does the insurance provide, AND their attorney say? "Make 'em an offer, and see if they'll go away, because that's waaaaaaay cheaper than fighting them, which is going to get drug out for years, at a tremendous expense, and if it goes before a jury of today's woke citizens, you'll have a 95% chance of losing, and paying out even more money. Offer 'em 20-grand and see if they bite. We'll go as high as $100." So guess what happens with little Bobby. He get's to be a boy in the girls locker room, and beat the crap out of the girls in all their sports, and be given trophies, and honored for all his accomplishments, and being on magazine covers, and proclaimed female athlete of the year. And all the females and their parents are told to get over it, and get with modern times, and quit being anti and phobe. And because those families don't get a free attorney, guess what happens.

There needs to be a legal consequence for these violations, to set a clear standard moving forward. As a male athlete, I would have most likely been arrested if I was there watching that happen because how vocal I would have been.

They are afraid of blowback. If they are still on the team, they could lose scholarships, etc for speaking out. When Thomas was swimming, something like 15 swimmers on the team sent a letter to the school and they told them where to get counseling if they were uncomfortable seeing a penis in the locker room.

I started ranting to my cat honestly as soon as the host did that- I was a competitive figure skater and runner as a girl and I found happiness and healing as a grown woman in recovery as a long distance cyclist…having that taken from me and from all female athletes makes me sick, but I can’t indulge competing against male cheats. Nobody has any prejudice against trans women, it’s the fact that Lia has the physical advantage over biological women, as he went through male puberty, in so doing, he developed male sized lung capacity, blood volume, musculature, body mass and bone density, which is Irreversable. Taking hrt / lowering testosterone levels, does not effect, negate or lessen the physical advantage of a male once they’ve experienced male puberty. I am so impressed that these two openly push back publicly. This is important not to just female athletes but to show that women will not just step aside to men take their spaces, opportunities and their rights. God bless them both in their endeavors.

I've never been in a doctor's exam room with another patient in there. If you don't want a doctor who is trans then go to another doctor.

Trans can virtual race. Swim wiht men or women but use time against other trans in similar pool same day elsewhere. Works for track and any individual sport.

There's no such thing as "trans"

Very impressed by their corauge in this climate, but the point should be more about "sex in not gender" even if a trans person had reconstructed genitalia should not compete in the women category, make a trans(non biological women) category

Dear @dylangarcia3898 While I appreciate your desire to be gracious by using someone’s preferred pronouns (an understandable instinct), I feel compelled to clarify that by using biologically incorrect pronouns is to promote a lie against truth and therefore hurts the speaker, by definition. It also propagates the lie which hurts others. I highly recommend the work by Miriam Grossman on this important issue. Very illuminating. Good luck with your search for Truth.

This situation is beyond belief. I can't even fathom how we got here; how it has been allowed, and how speaking up gets people cancelled. Where is all this headed? All I can say is keep fighting. This nonsense has to stop.

I wish we could just refer to him not as Leah but as "the person formerly known as William Thomas". Or at the least, say "Leah--who changed his name from William--"

Finally! So happy to have women standing up for themselves and fighting back with a lawsuit. As a retired elementary school teacher and lesbian, I can confirm that many LGB people support your fight and stand with you. I strongly object with this host referring to Thomas as a she. He is a biological male and his correct designation is as a trans identified male. Trans women are men. That's why women must take back the terms "woman" and "women" and stop allowing these males to incorporate them into their titles and appropriate them as part of their identity - even if it means taking their fight all the way to the Supreme Court to have it enshrined as law that only adult biological human females can used these terms.

People need to understand when to use Me or I in a sentence

I would like to say, I'm pro lgbtqia+ all day everyday. On that same level, I'm very pro women. I do think this needs to b addressed. I think not letting these women hav a voice, is a huge huge problem. I personally would hav an issue with the locker room, even the level of competition being very different from female to male athletes. They need to figure this out for sure. It's really sad that these women r being threatened for speaking up. I don't kno what the solution is here, but something needs to b done.
