I have moved 3,000 miles away from my family and friends (and fish tanks!!) for college. These videos really do make my day and take some stress and anxiety off for a while. Thanks so much man.

I'm not gonna lie, when I saw Ladybird I kinda teared up a little 🥲

Great video and interview, really enjoyed it. What type of small bristlenose plecos were those (~42nd minute mark)?
Yes everyone knows Cory❤
🔥
So nice to see you with Corey, I watched him all the time when I first started with my hobby, are you back in Brisbane? I live in Childers and am going down soon.. would love to visit your shop..
you should do an aqua scaping video. or go over German blue ram breeding behavior in depth (include behavior before they start cleaning their surface)
For your hard water use sulfur you can get it for plants it's yellow and use it in your filters it will kill hair LG and it will probably take care of that in tank with the ferns in it
One day I’ll visit
Hello, I was just wondering what kind of pump you would use for a sponge filter if you had a 20 gallon tank with ghost shrimp and panda corys
It’s interesting that so many live bearers have the same general shape.
I thought he was going to say Aquarium Co-Op was going to be carrying Bug Buffet at the end of this video 😁
How long does he leave the tank lights on? whatever lights he's using is the reason for pearling like that wothoput c02.
Hello not a competition but first let's go
I think those Pinocchio shrimp at 5:25 are _Caridina gracilirostris_ -which is an appropriate specific name, meaning "thin-snouted", or "gracile rostrum" lol. I read that they’re a brackish species from Japan. But I guess many shrimp and crustaceans are "brackish", at certain points in their development?
@OGBarry16

Dang, was very interested in them but brackish water rules it out for me😂
I had a mini musk turtle from when I was 10 till 17 then my mom got rid of him when she moved without my permission. He never basked so I got rid of his basking area and as long as they have good calcium their shells won’t get soft
RIP Ladybird ❤
@AquariumCoop there is a spot in this video where you are talking about a live barer that the body isn’t how you would like it to be. The sponge filter in the shot appears to be buried in the gravel. Is that just the camera angle, or is this a thing that can be done and still have effective filtration?
Almost thought you forgot 😏
Would you ever livestream again in the future 🤔
Rip Ladybird ❤❤❤
46:46 what is that plant pearling, Sounds like Bolbaides.. ? Please help
Have aquarium co-op sell your bug buffet! I’ve been wanting to try it but there isn’t a way to get it
Awww Ladybird 🩷 RIP
Where can i get a mini musk turtle?
You're in the States? I want to meet you!
I wish I saw Cory talk about canister filters sooner in my hobby time. I have 2 tanks with them. And I hate them
Did you fly to America to make this?
47:27
limia perugia (black chin livebearer) WANNNTTTT
Anyone catch what that tiny pleco is called?
RIP Ladybird
hi
what are the fish called in the first tank? I can't spell it to find them. P.S. im sooooo dyslexic
Alhamdulilah From Indonesian 🙏🏾
And I'm sitting here, struggling to get Madakas to hatch.
If you let Corey just talk this video would be 36 hours long!
Cory how do you get rid of the bladder snails my tank is infested? Thank you

@@lindataylor8302 Try Clown Loaches or a couple large predatory snails that won’t breed out-of-control. Both are snail eaters.

I stopped eating anything fish no seafood at all for 15 years when i had 29 tanks in my house 25 years ago, now i started tanks again at 3 small-ish tanks im happy at this being 52yo this is enough work for me, lazy hey? Or smart?
No way
Cory come and save the Red Finned Blue Eye.
The Vienna guppies look just like what I have been calling snake skin guppies . 😂 I have a couple hundred that look like this I bred them from random fancy guppies .
well then why isnt your other 29 planted tanks with the same filters and lights pearling??? am i missing something? is so what is it.

You need plant density and the plant to photosynthesize fast enough to maximize oxygen. You won't see pearling until the water has hit super saturation. This also needs enough light and nutrients in each tank to achieve it. Not always the easiest thing to balance when you have a lot of systems all going at once and aren't just flooding the water column with nutrients, injected co2 and lights.

@@AquariumCoop my dwarf buce pearls before almost every other plant I own.... generally within 20 to 30 minutes of lights turning on. Today, for the first time, my dwarf lilies from you pearled 🎉 I recently changed my lighting schedule to 8 hours off/ 3 hours on/4 hours off/ 3 hours on/3 hours off/3 hours on to keep the algae from coming back. The plants are definitely competing with the algae, and based on the number of plants pearling, I hope they will now be *outcompeting* the algae 😅

Simple?.....
Really wish he would remove coop from the branding since it isn't a coop.

It's the registered name of the company, for over a decade. It's a recognized brand, and Cory has addressed why he selected the name **and** if he had known then what he knew 10 years later, he would have selected a different name. That being said, his program that rewards school aged kids for getting into the hobby and learning how to responsibly breed is very true to the cooperative concept he named his business for. I'm really glad he doesn't charge membership fees like the food co-op does, and doesn't exploit people like another co-op I was in.

I gently disagree with Cory and with Kaarataka because I think it • IS • a co-op. The way Cory focuses on local breeders, local clubs, improving the hobby, bringing in other experts, not just profits. In my opinion, this makes it very co-op-ish.
@Lazy_Fish_Keeper

@@toriwilson6961 I too think it is exactly what Cory envisioned: a co-op The reason he wished he'd named it differently, is after Edmonds started doing charter schools, people assumed it was an education co-op 😂 He's talked about it in a few videos. It's very much a co-operative aquarium store, focusing on sustainability, buy local, and supporting new breeders in the business. How many corporate stores tell people, "don't buy from us, unless you have no option to buy local"?
That story about the little turtles in Florida adapting to being smaller is BS. That particular species is called a “Stinkpot,” the smallest species of Musk turtles (there are many species.) They only grow to 4 - 5” max and should be offered a dry place (branch, rock) to crawl out and bask even if they seldom use it. There are certain states (like Florida) where turtles under 5” can be sold, it varies from state to state, every state has it’s own laws.

I also find it strange that a businessman would waste time & effort breeding a turtle species he’s unable to sell, rather to simply “give them away(?)” His resources would be better utilized if he became involved in a “breed-to-release” program of an endemic, CITES-listed, endangered chelonian -of which there are many. Species such as Gopher Tortoises, Wood turtles, Blandings turtles, Alligator snapping turtles & Diamondback terrapins are all on the decline. Obtaining a “breed-to-release” license from the Turtle & Tortoise Conservancy or the local Fish & Game Dept isn’t difficult (I’ve done it.) Programs whose goal is to repopulate newly protected areas by reintroducing breeding colonies already exist and guidelines for species specific implementation are available.
Cant stand the guy

Why are you here then?
Very cool video! I don’t hardly watch KZread any longer, because, almost all of it is for brand new fish keepers. I don’t find too many videos of people with experience, just shooting the bowl looking at fish and talking every day fish talk. Being blind, I can’t do live streams because I can’t follow Along, so I have to depend on videos as far as finding content that is more my level and speed and experience, and those things are very hard to find these days. Thanks again! Very cool.🐠🦯
