Gel is better. And the grizzly spray he used is actually less potent than personal defense sprays/gels, since bears have a heightened sense of smell. The bear cans are good for crowd control. Having used bear spray on some guys who tried stealing the bikes off the back of my truck when I was sleeping in it, I can tell you (just like the man in the video said) bear spray gets everywhere.

@@terryowen6759 That's true, but there appeared to be other people out on the street there to whom she was a threat. I would have stayed in my car but remained on scene and called police. Might have intervened if she had tried stabbing someone on the street - that's a judgement call. If there were no other people around, I would definitely have gotten out of there and called 911 from a distance.

She had a weapon in her hand that could break the glass in a vehicle and she had already attacked other vehicles. As soon as she started approaching his truck, aggressively brandishing a knife, he was fully justified in using whatever force necessary to eliminate that threat.
