✅ About jlwii2000:
When I started my channel I did not choose a catchy name because I did not think that I would be a major model railroading video source one day, so I apologize for the strange name. My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James

I was worried that the younger generations didn't do model trains anymore, so was worried for Lionel but it seems to me business is booming for them. Makes me happy to see.
Extremely interesting, I’m 70 now and have had my trains since I was 7....

Astounding what a huge business model trains have become. It's nice to see Lionel doing so well.
As a nascar fan and a model train fan I love this so much!
The best ad: a company with good policies and customer service that shows what they do.
Nice video, James! Nice to see and hear that they are manufacturing "in-house" here in the USA! I wish other companies would follow suit!

Good for US jobs, however, Chinese workers have, if watched closely, meticulous finishing.
Great video overview of the Lionel company. It would have been nice to see close-up detail shots of the displays. Nice that the CEO was so accessible and took time to speak to the camera. Nice guy. I’m more of a Lionel fan now after seeing their great facilities.
Lionel. The best of the best.
I use to purchase my trains at Madison Hardware NY NY My dad would take me there every yr and during the yr he'd purchase an accessory and more track. "I miss that store very much."
You guys/gals have a very up to. Date facility and I hope to see a lot of new ideas coming forth. Keep up the great work Lionel Folks!!
Great video! Thanks for the grand tour of Lionel! Thanks for sharing!
I wish Lionel would bring back their manufacturing of products to the USA 🇺🇸 from Mexico 🇲🇽. As a longtime collector of these iconic trains I NOTICED A MARKED DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY ONCE Lionel moved to Mexico 🇲🇽. Lionel!! Get with it CEO 👨💼 AND BRING NOT ONLY THE JOBS BACK BUT THR QUALITY.
Thanks James and thanks Lionel - nice tour!!
Cool tour and Hi from a Lionel Layout • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Thank you James for a very nice look behind the scenes at one of the countries oldest model train manufactures, Lionel. One thing I noticed that seemed odd to me, Lionel did not have a person in the lobby of their headquarters. All the companies I worked for, had someone at the main entrance to sign for packages, accept mail and page employees when sales reps, etc entered the building. Thanks again James for this look behind the scenes. Cheers, Rich S.
This is so cool. I haven't played with trains since i was a kid and had a model setup of the frosted flakes train (showing my age), but we got my son a lionel set when he was 3...he is almost 21 now and i am glad to see this. Makes me want to take a trip to see this.
Nice! Love all the train displays in the various offices!
This is an awesome video! Have always been a Lionel train fan. Thank you so much! 🥇🏆😎
fantastic tour... thanks so much guys !!!
Now that was cool! Thanks for the Tour!
Great video. Very informative. I've been collecting Lionel since the fifties. Glad to see they are getting into HO.
As a youngster in 1950 I had the silver EMD locos and passenger cars. Was in UP markings but not Armour yellow. I guess I did not know much then. Spent 33 years at EMD until I retired. Hate to think how many locos I had a hand in building. Family went Pennsylvania RR museum maybe 40 years ago and we did a tour of the turntable. I asked the guide about the case & Pan assm for A/B engines rusting in the yard and he wondered how I knew what they were. When I started EMD was finishing the DD40`s. I had a hand in 567, 645 ,710 and H engines.
AWESOME!!!!! Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work.
I love Lionel trains! Thanks James!
Excellent video James well done on this one very interesting and great inside story from start to finish and the store is just mind blowing to see this is just unbelievable video James
Great video ! Kudos to Ryan as well for an entertaining and informative tour !
Very nice video of your visit James. That’s quite an awesome facility Lionel has there. Thanks for sharing your visit. 👍👍👍😎😎😎 Cary
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing, James.
Thanks James and thanks Lionel.
Love this Video. Very informative! Was into O gauge in my youth, planning to build an HO layout as I approach my retirement in five years!
I live in central PA close to where the Weaver factory was. I was there a number of times over the past decades including 6 times in the last several weeks (I saw Lionel reps there on one of the days) as they were preparing to close up for good. Visitors could walk around in the facility, talk to the workers and watch the production. Everyone was so accommodating. The pad printing process that Weaver used produced some really nice designs but the process at the new Lionel plant is so much more intricate and can produce such a variety of color schemes, very impressive. I mention Weaver because the LionScale line are the past Weaver cars. I own 50 or so Weaver cars. I miss that place. All the best to Lionel.
Really awesome they did this! I just got into the hobby and I'm enjoying it alot!
Never realized lionel was stationed in my home state. I'm 45 minutes away . We have a great little train shop near our home in thomasville called mikes trains and they carry alot of lionel.
I really liked seeing this, I'm glad Lionel is bringing things back in house, production wise. Made in USA should be on Lionel, not china
Great video! Very informative! I want to work in that warehouse! I have 30 years experience on the forklift and even more building models! The store looks like alot of fun too! Thanks for the post!😁
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
Workers are so serious in front of the camera. They seem so happy to work there lol
Great tour. I'm sure Mr. J.Lionel Cohen would be pleased to see that his namesake trains are still in production.

I have an O gauge engine from 1950, dad's old layout. It runs great
As a life long Lionel aficionado I am very happy to see that Lionel is still able to survive - I just wish that your support of older products were better supported! I recently opened up brand new in the boxes pieces that I bought 18 years ago, only to find out they didn't work!! One was the Lionel Ltd. Ed. Backshop - (what a total piece of junk) and the other was the original ZW-C (with 2 180 W PH's) that only works on 3 of the 4 channels. Lionel has no support for these what so ever - but I also blame myself as I bought them 18 years ago and never opened them up. I DO wish Lionel good luck in the future and I am glad to see at least some production come back to the USA.

Those items you mentioned where most likely made overseas.Lionel has made much needed changes in their business associates.
Hi James, Thanks for showcasing Lionel here in NC. I live close by, visit them from time to time. Being in NC, I hope you had the time to also visit Spencer, NC. About 45 minutes from Lionel. Excellent model railroad shop there, Little Choo Choo Shop. Also, NC Transportation Museum. Mike
I was at the mall a few weeks ago. I never been into O scale that much and after seeing the prices now I know why. Hopefully you walked the mall James. There alot to see. And not alot of malls have a beef jerky store.
-Great video James, very interesting. I am a great fan of yours, keep up the good work. Bill Sanders
Wonderful and knowledgeable video, James. Ryan is really articulate. Glad to see Lionel So well organized for the future and doing some manufacturing in the states. You have sine clout, dude. If you can, it would be nice to get MTH or Sunset as well. Well done .
Always wonder if they ever thought of going into O guage two rail systems and G gauge systems as well, awesome video btw

Very cool tour, thats for the video!
well that was cool. this is the kind of tour I wanted to go on at NECA's HQ... but that didn't happen. seriously this is awesome.
Keep up the awesome work .

THANK you FOR your VIDEO and your TIME and information and thoughts and comments very NICE VIDEO indeed NICE to see this in the USA. Very good AWESOME indeed. 👍👍
I never knew that Lionel was into racing, but it does make sense. Whenever I run my trains the most asked question is, is that as fast as it will go?
Really cool!!!
Super cool video!! Great to see they are taking pride in customer service. MTH needs to take the hint. Also, great to see more production happening here in the US again. Thanks for making/posting this!

Lionel is such an amazing company, my first model was a Lionel loco so they’re my childhood. Interesting to see how they make all of this possible.
Great Job James! Another First!!

Hi I am also in the UK, and my first experience of Lionel trains was way back in 2012, with a Christmas locomotive set, primerly as a tree set. But even though this was a "Cheaper" set I then researched further, watched a few videos on KZread, Eric's Trains, I was instantly hooked, researched further for discounts etc. And eventuality found Trainworld.my layout is not very large compared to those shown on various websites in the USA where they have huge space's. I have now over Twelve locomotives that are Lionel Legacy command, although I can only run two at any one time, I rotate them every so often. But get a lot of pleasure out of the diorama side, if you are into model trains, then these are top notch, but very very expensive. My wife of 50+years is not always happy with what I have spent over the years on model trains, but since I'll health I had to give up motorcycling and scuba diving, and I am only 73. Every man needs a hobby.🙄 Any way kindest regards.
I wish I took a tour of the Lionel Headquarters.
Nice video James, I am always wondering what the Manufacturer is going to do next. In my mind I am wondering if they will bring back the O scale VTR and Green Mountain locomotives or even do them in HO!😉 Great job again James, hope you have a good night.😊❤️🌙👍🏻👍🏻
James, I didn't see that coming from you . but makes sense, O scale, Lionel. awesome. I didn't know they did custom cars for people and holidays. thank you for that bit of information. and the tour was cool as well. final note on Lionel. wtg to a company that produces a lot of their stuff here on home soil. Hats of to them for that , now if you don't mind, I have to go check out the warehouse sales. bye for now

About a few years ago I had a lionel lionchief plus mikado, and it broke 15 minutes into usage after it came out of the box, since it was still under a warranty I sent it back to get fixed cuz I still liked the engine, then when I got it back it went a centimeter forward & stopped then it started smoking in places it wasn't supposed to then I sent it back for a full refund, then I've been running the old postwar diesels & steamers & they've been great these far with eh occasional cleaning & maintenance myself. for the price of one mikado, I bought 3-5 old postwar engines & they seem to be working well, the e-units on these things are a little problematic tho.
Nice job.
Do your employees get a discounted price on your products?😀😀😀
So, a good question to have asked James would be: are kids putting down their tablets and cell phones and getting back into model trains? I know there's a good % of adults with their layouts, but with the product you are putting out it seems like the demand must include a lot of kids. Very nice vid, BTW!
I wish you could order online or via phone for the warehouse sale. Tough to make the trip to NC if you live out of state :(
I loved the old lionel trains and the new lionel trains to I love ho trains to Jack 👽👽

Mr. Hitchcock, thank you for creating terrific products. Please, work on quality control. Stop using inferior parts, use the older reliable parts. Especially on the couplers. Get rid of the button tabs. The trains come apart causing accidents, resulting in other broken cars. They also short out on the center rail. Thank you
Great video!! Is Athearn next?
The grey Hudson in the lobby looks just like my Hudson that went on fire.
My favorite Loco is the Lionel veranda
nice. i have a lot of Nascar die-cast!
Wow!
Any chance you have any POST WW 2 parts?? 1946 1957
I wonder why Lionel is pushing so hard on the HO market? o Scale is their greatest history and achievements! My Post war Trains are still running! Truly Amazing!
Lionel is and will always be the best train company they went my nephew track because he was sick were still running trains that were mine and my grandpa's we did just loose half or stuff in r layout from the basement getting flooded a while ago kids broke in and destoyed the layout but I fixed alot if that but no matter what the trains always make good memories
Lionel, I bot an American flying polar express engine but don’t have the remote control for it. So how do I buy a controller for it and a O scale as well.
I’d die to see you and Eric’s Trains collab
What type of carpet are you using on the layout? The gray color blends in beautifully with the FasTrack. Apparently it must not be detrimental to the locomotives or you would not be using it. Thanks for the tour, I really enjoyed it.
Can we Visit when we come to the Transportation Museum!?
I so picture in my mind their offices in a strong well designed brick building with cabinets and tables made from oak and maple.. just as it was at the very start.
Super cool!,1:03
I would like to know if you reproduce some of the original lines equipment from the 50s and 60s for serious collectors. Also reproducing original diecast metal steam engines. I’ve had them as a youngster. And my nephew head 027 gauge trains From the 90s and early 2000’s and the weight difference look running sound is completely different.
I am a nascar and train fan so obviously Lionel is my favorite
