The Proteus? Yes, they are available...are really sweet...and reasonably priced. We just posted a video fluke fishing with them...loved them. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nH1nr9KxZLi-fso.html

I see that there are a few proteus rids available, but I don't see a specific jigging model with the same coloration as the one in the video. The rod you say you can't wait to jog blackfish with is what I'm interested. Love the videos by the way thanks for responding.

I believe the rod features in the video was a Daiwa Northeast Inshore Spinning Rod Model PRSS64MS That is also the one we used in the fluke fishing video. It's really nice. I am actually purchasing both the spinner and the heavier conventional. They make a great combo. www.daiwa.com/us/contents/rods/proteus_ss/index.html

I recently just caught a 13 pound Blackfish on that spinning rod. We were Porgy fishing with 2/0 hooks and the Blackfish hit a small piece of clam. After a few photos we released the fish and I hope to find him again in the fall. The rod is incredible.
