Este zoo parece ser horrible, parece que no tienen otro lugar donde ir por ejemplo affuera. Hay zoologicos donde estos hermosos simios tienen un hermoso lugar afuera con arboles mucho verde y cueva donde refugiarse y vive alli toda una familia de gorilas que son fabulosos. Ademas para preservar la especie, no hace falta tanto zoologico, conque haya un lugar donde puedan vivir un poco de libertado. Ademas en Africa hay un lugar maravilloso donde viven los gorilas de montaña en plena libertad en un area enorme y cuidado por guardaparques. Alli se alimentan de lo que el bosque les da y son hermosos y fuertes y muy pacificos. ESTE ZOOLLOGICO ES LAMENTABLE.

Unfortunately, humans have ruined the possibility of that occurring. It’s sickening. The least they can do is give them a nice habitat in the zoo. This enclosure is abysmal. I’ve see other Gorilla enclosures that have trees, plants, pond, flora from their native habitat, small rock caverns, etc. the conditions these gorillas live in at this zoo are like a prison. What a shame. This is hard to watch

В Казанском зоопарке живёт серебристая горилла. Посетители не отходят от стекла вольера. И условия ей созданы прекрасные, есть тёплое помещение и выход на огромную территорию на свежий воздух. Какой восторг испытывают зрители (особенно дети) , наблюдая за ней. 😊Может в дикой природе ей и было бы лучше, но в парке тоже неплохо живётся.

If they were in the wild, they would still spend the majority of their time eating and resting. They only move in the wild when they are looking for a specific kind of fruit or food. Here they are given all different kinds of fruit and they can interact, and rest all day long. They are very intelligent, yes, but they wouldn’t be reading books, or sewing or playing chess outside of this zoo. You are projecting your own feelings onto them

Legend has it that it is now 2099 and yes, he is still waiting for her to give in 😂 Omg, this was too sweet. I was waiting for him to give her a flower or a bouquet of grass ❤😂😂❤ They will be a Power Couple 😊

I think she does not like to smell "clean". He really wantet to convince her and at least she visibly loved his smell.

Love how Ai is playing coy. Shabani was pretty clever when he grabbed Ai's hand and led it to himself, then she sat there sniffing her fingers. I try not to laugh at the animals' expense, but they have such interesting means of non-verbal communication.

Yeah part of the fun of watching gorillas is seeing how they are like humans so much, but also seeing the ways they are not, and trying to reconcile the two. You can only infer meaning by watching their actions. And at the end of it all you are never entirely sure of anything. Lol.

I imagine they give a pill in a treat to the females who could potentially conceive to prevent genetic line getting scrambled, I.e. different mom for Annie And Kiyomasa but have same father. In the wild, Kiyomasa would have already left the troop to live with other young silverbacks, like a bachelor group, until he can find a mate and build a troop. From WORLD WILDLIFE FUND: How often do female gorillas have babies? Females become sexually mature around seven or eight years old but don't begin to breed until a couple of years later. Males mature at an even greater age. Once a female begins to breed, she'll likely give birth to only one baby every four to six years and only three or four over her entire lifetime.

You might be right but it's because of humans and how horrible we can be we kill off these beautiful animals in the wild and so as a result there are maybe 20000 gorillas left in the wild because of human error and how disgusting we are us being on this planet we don't care about others and so to keep the population growing we have to keep them in Sanctuaries and zoos to protect them it's a necessary evil unfortunately they rip the babies out of the mother's hands while they chop off their hands the mother's hands and killed them So what is the alternative letting human beings kill them in the wild or keeping them safe and enclosures I say keeping them safe what do you think because think about this humans are like locusts we are destroyers we don't care about our own planet this is the only planet in our Solar System that consist in life that we know it and we're destroying our planet and killing off the animals Is gorillas are protected and cared for and loved

Shabani has 5 full siblings, M' below, is still in Australia with 2 kiddies & his baby brother died last year in Christchurch, New Zealand. 13 half siblings.

They can’t release them, unfortunately. And I find it very pleasant visiting with them & getting to see animals I otherwise could never travel to see them. Besides, if we have some in a zoo, there’s less of a chance they’ll go extinct. Best for everyone I guess, although I agree it’s sad they’re enclosed in a made up jungle.

These gorillas were ALL born into captivity, they wouldnt last long in the wild. It would be nice to see their living quarters with less concrete and more grass/greenery. We have the safari park here in San Diego and the gorillas have almost all grass and trees outside
