Shabani, a silverback gorilla, and his son Kiyomasa were playing wrestling very intensely in the morning.
They were wrestling as if they were in a fight, and his daughter Annie tried to stop Shabani, but the excited Shabani chased Annie away.

I never knew anything previously about gorillas. They are big and muscular. Yet they wrestle in such a gentle way.
Love seeing Shabani smile joyfully. Best silverback father!

@BellaAnima it's her brother. Shabani the silverback is their dad. She knows they are just playing around anyway lol.

So good to see father and son wrestling and having fun! Kiyomasa is nowhere a match for his dad yet, but he's going to get there. He's looking more handsome and mature daily, it seems!
Something very special about Shabani I wish I could explain it but I can't ❤ His looks,his eyes the way he is with his family so human. I can't wait to go and visit him I been saving alot of money to make this trip possible. These creatures take my breath away 😍 But Shabani has something special about him. Love this troop with all my heart. Thank you for sharing them with us.🥰🥰😍 Can't wait to visit.

Frieks me out sometimes looking into their eyes. They seem so similar and full of complex thought. Not very unlike ours.
In the wild, those skills he’s being taught would be valuable in keeping a troop together and safe. It’s sad that they will never be able to use the skills the way nature intended. Not blaming the zoo, the gorillas need the help.

Kiyomsa is becoming a silverback. I can see that his thighs are starting to turning silver. I hope that they pair Annie with Gentaro, they would make a lovely family.

Kiyomasa is 10 years old and Gentaro will celebrate his 11th birthday in December.

A far cry to their homes before we took away their land and slaughtered their families. Sadly it’s not where they belong but at least they are safe and healthy.
Shabani is full of fun today playing until its time to go outside for some food. Kiyomasa and Annie are funny. Annie will be great fun with Gentaro can't wait to see them together

Их жалко ,.....до того момента, как представишь, что * на воле* - они 60% не доживают до взрослой особи, погибают живут на лоне природы со всеми опасностями и жесточайшим в ы ж и в а н и е м. Это тоже , что женщина в * золотой клетке * плачет... И ...завидует той которая с авоськами ( всегда) , если есть деньги, замучена выживанием , растерзана детьми и мужьями , и замордована бытом.

В зоопарке живут в два раза дольше чем на воле. Всегда есть еда и нет угрожающих хищников.

Considering they are highly endangered with very few left in the wild it’s honestly the better thing for them as sad as it is.

I sorta wish they would write on the screen once in a while what they are doing or what their behavior is saying. Sometimes I can’t tell who’s who and if they are playing, teaching or are actually annoyed and angry.

El hijo aprende del padre , kiyomasa hace como shabani , mueve la cabeza y los brazos de forma circular . Observó también la familia Momotaro y este no hace eso ni sus hijos tampoco , hablo de kintaro y gentaro... Lo que es curioso en la familia momotaro y es que lo poco que he visto momotaro nunca golpea su pecho sin embargo kintaro su hijo más pequeño casi siempre lo está haciendo
