Highly thinking about purchasing, thinking about the 3060 model. When you did the battery life test, did you keep the refresh rate at 240hz or did u reduce it to 60hz with screen brightness at 50%?

This really convinced me to give this one a shot! Fingers crossed it’s what i been looking for. Really informative review kudos!

I heard aorus control eats the battery like a starving animal, do u turn it off sometimes to enjoy longer batter life?

Picked up similar laptop but with 11th gen intel, thunderbolt 4 port at Newegg for just over $1200. Insane deal. And I love the way this laptop performs. I have it dock with external display and peripherals like a MacBook. Clean setup

Those numbers against the tuf and strix is amazing! Although missing a couple of features...

@@richardfabri4056 don't think it has released in US, on amazon we have a 105w 3070 with 32 gb ram for 1799$. But I DO think the 130w is coming but hasn't came out yet in the US/is short on supply like most laptops

RTX 3070 , 130watt, 240hz , 32gb I am sold ! Even with $1400 stimulus check am still short of change from getting it! Love the review! Gigabyte Aorus 15P I have to keep an eye when it discounted.

Just got one with a 3060 and I'm blown away by the quiet fans and thermals. Never seen a laptop stay in the 60s C while gaming without fans on max.

@@abdullakurdi6374 is average on the noise level, you know when your fans goes 100% but you can use the Aorus control center for create your own fan curve. Recommended laptop!

Great video! Super informative, aesthetically pleasing, and with a good host. How have I never heard of this channel?! I ordered this for $1,999.99 on Newegg during their sales to match Prime Day. It gets here tomorrow! I’m stoked to finally have a powerful laptop. I have a great desktop (i7-9700 and RTX 2060) but every laptop I’ve had has been low end. Gonna be a great laptop for “college”!

Now I understand all the laptops reviews. These are new way to GPU's :p

It's frustrating that the 3070 in the 15p xc compares almost equally to the 3080 in the 17g yc. So bigger size, aluminum body, mech board, fingerprint sensor, all for an extra $1000. Feels steep to me. Shopping for a 30 series laptop between availability and hunting for wattage numbers sucks.

Performance wise it's ok, but if you edit a lot you ideally want a higher resolution screen tbh.

Alrighty. Pulled the trigger and bought one. Great review, helped me work out the RTX RNG naming system. Be 4 - 8 days shipping. Live in Australia so I will get you some figures on thermals. Ambient will be 30c - 35c. Will test with and without cooler pad.

Good enough for gaming to forget commitments regarding feedback on KZread haha. Love it mate. Warzone is the main intensive game I run. 110FPS until DLSS came out now 145 on a Aorus M27Q(free with laptop).

@@granticus1 hey mate, how are you finding the fan noise levels on heavier use? Are the gpu temperatures in the 80's range when gaming? Any negatives with the build quality or hinges? I'm debating between this (11th gen Intel model), the Gigabyte A7 x1 and Asus ROG strix 15. Can't find many reviews lol

Build quality is on par with Omen and Dell. Fan noise can get intense when gaming and fans set to gaming. No louder than other laptops but stays cooler. Highest temp after gaming was cpu 79c(have to use other programs to measure as aorus won't display) and gpu 69c while playing warzone and Inquisitor Martyr. That's with external monitor with mux activated and CPU set to normal. Can't say if it's better than other new released laptops but I rate it. Would get the 11th gen now.....just because. Not sure on Azure either, always sets cpu throttle high and fans to normal and compromises fps.

You do have to wonder just what they were thinking with that camera. At this point I would pay extra just for no built-in camera, but with an extra port for a webcam.

I think it might be ok if you put the laptop on a stand, I noticed that when I put my Acer Nitro 5's monitor at the appropriate eye level, my camera is a bit too high. This laptop webcam might be perfect for those who use laptop stands so that the camera actually shows you at a good angle.

I have a feeling all laptop manufacturers have a secret agreement. No matter what, to have at least one ridiculous thing on your laptop. I mean that camera...just...I wanted to laugh and laugh. The only thing that stopped me was how much tired I am. Other than that, what a good laptop! I am not searching for a laptop, but I did a quick search and found exactly zero Aorus laptops here in Greece. Anyway, thanks for the video. :) Good chin and nostrils btw. You have nothing to fear.

Should I get this or the razer blade 15?

I am actively looking at both the 15G and 15P - I would love for you to do a direct comparison and please include a recommendation not only between these two laptops, but what you think is the best laptop in price/performance in this category.

Is the same. Same cpu and same gpu wattage.

Ihave a 15G which i insulated the board around the cpu and gpu so that i could apply Conductonaut. Cpu rarely goes to 80 C degrees and Gpu 72 C while gaming with both settings maxed out. I customized the fan curb to 100% at 80 C.

@@dericdang you wouldn't be able to see what i did unless i pull the heat sink off again. I don't want to do that until a need to reapply.

I'd like to see this compared to the lenovo 5 pro they are priced around the same and are similar with a difference of amd ryzen vs intel i7

sadly they missed out on a MUX switch and a webcam as they had plenty of space above the display. Can't wait for lenovo to release their lineup, the Legion 7 will give the G15 a run for its money

@@cristianconstantin6496 yeah Optimus remains one of my remaining concerns, although when I'm home I'll be docking this laptop and have it connected via usb c to external monitors. The absence of a webcam isn't a concern at all, my work laptop is the only machine I need a webcam for, this is purely for gaming and independent work.

@@davemeech and that's the beauty of the market, so many laptop for so many different needs. I personally am looking for an all-rounder, seems like Lenovo is closest to that (thin, light, metal, webcam, mux, usb-c charging, ryzen, long battery life, good TDP, small bezel, great screen). I am currently using a 1070 MSI GP73 and I realized the importance of a quality material body as my hinges got yeeted from regular use

Belgian actually. They love their Azerty 😬 The US international layout is the standard in the Netherlands, but they only had a sample with this one.

I prefer plastic over aluminium for laptops. Plastic flexes, aluminium dents aluminium also conducts electricity, not a good thing if it gets dented right over a solder joint also the a anodizing scratches fairly easily meaning you need to baby it for peak resale. I was looking at the razer blade then I saw this and the fact that they put a numpad on instead of speakers at either side of the keyboard (why do it?!) is a huge plus, it also has display port and a card reader, however it could do with a headphone and mic jack that are separate, other than that it looks like a really solid laptop and I think I'll get it. Hopefully, I've not gotten to the end of the review yet. Now that I've gotten to the end of the review, yet. Now that I have the useless webcam and the fact they included a physical shutter makes it a clear winner. No more electrical tape over the webcam.

Hi, i saw a promotion in my country with 3 Aorus models from 2020 at a very affordable price. They all have the same exact specs but i don't know much of the brand to figure out whats the best one: Aorus 7 KB Aorus 5 KB Aorus 15P The specs are 10750h 16ram 512ssd 144hz rtx2060. Best regards.

Been looking for a good gaming laptop that’s also within my price range. The one I found initially is sold out globally, so I went to look for something that’s similar on the inside. This one is almost perfect, aside from resolution, processor and SSD capacity, which I can upgrade(SSD). Glad to hear you like it, will probably be buying it soon. I rewatched and realized that I meant the Asus G15 but I believe you are referring to the Aorus 15G. haha Both direct comparisons would be appreciated as I am currently undecided between the Asus G15 and the Aorus 15P, but even the 15G is interesting. The Asus G15 while slower on the internal screen (or even external) might still have a better gaming experience (not performance) due to the Adaptive Sync? Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts about comparisons like build, screen quality, keyboard, software, and so on. :) Thanks again!

@@XHItube I own a 15p and I’m completely satisfied, I would say the negatives are the nose cam and slightly squishy keys (used to mechanical) sometimes the brightness can be too low if the sun is blazing through my windows! Also I would add another nvme as I have done. Positives are, it’s very sleek and not embarrassing like some gaming laptops, it’s actually portable! The screen is fantastic and the performance is very good, I play cyberpunk at around 70fps with ray tracing on.

You have. Aorus 15P vs Asus Strix G15 G513QR. Same wattage 130w on gpu. On vid is little error. Asus have 130w gpu.

thankfully the 15p and 15g are only $200 apart which are justified by the lighter and slimmer body of the 15G, the premium is paid for that and not the performance. This is the only fairly priced "3080" laptop ($2000) I've seen, everything else is outrageous. I also like the inclusion of a webcam, regardless of the position as sometimes I just throw my laptop in a backpack with no peripherals
