I needed to use vlookup to return data from another worksheet but that worksheet had 88 columns. You just SAVED me from typing in the formula for those columns! Thank you!
Life saver. Thank you so much for showing the formula for older excel versions as well, very helpful.
Perfect! Exactly what I was after, thank you very much!!!

Saved my ass. Thanks! :)
Referring to 2:25 where you say older versions may result in an output of just the first column content or a value error, I am getting all three columns content but vertically instead of horizontally...any tips on how to correct?

That's sounds like computer local syntax issue. Try "\" instead of ","

Is there any way you can help me out I’m having a n/a error coming up
Is it available in MS 365 only? because I tried with later version on 2013 this is not available, we can easily do it on #GoogleSheetsTutorialhindi

in 2013 version you can apply this with Cntrl+Shift+Enter after selecting the range, as mentioned in the video.
Will this also work in google sheet with same formula
@ExcelGoogleSheets

Yes. You may need to use ArrayFormula() around it.
Are you familiar with skiptraced data? The landline and mobile numbers are mixed in columns. I want to sort 3 columns of phone numbers so all the mobile are in 1 column and landline in a separate column. The phone # and ph type are in separate columns.

Define "showing separately".
How do i save the data after using vlookup to send the result ?
@ExcelGoogleSheets
Жыл бұрын
Technically you could just save and send it. If you don't want the formulas, you can copy the results and paste as values only and then send.
I have some issues here does anything changes recently? As both {} and sequence do not work for me. In both cases I get same results as I would be copying formula in new column

@@saikas707 If it's office 365 you shouldn't need to use ctrl+shift+enter. Most likely some issues with your VLOOKUP logic itself. What does your data layout look like and what's your formula?

@@ExcelGoogleSheets my formula is quite simple, I have list of articles in one workbook and array of data with monthly (12 columny) sales of all items another workbook. And I need to have monthly sales figures in first work bool just for selected items. So using Vlookup wizard I select data, then select array, in third part I tired both {} and sequence formula and finally 0. Excel automatically fills rows down for sales figures from B column of second workbook and when I drag cell to copy to neighbor cell formula outputs same data as it was before: Vlookup($B$2:B$9$;Sheet2!$A$2:$L$50;{2;3;4;5};0)
@ExcelGoogleSheets
2 жыл бұрын
Try Vlookup($B$2:B$9$;Sheet2!$A$2:$L$50;{2\3\4\5};0)
My vlookup wont populate the second column I want, only the 2nd. =VLOOKUP(H2,’sheet’!$A$D,{3,4},0) I also ran it where the 0 is FALSE but it just doesn’t wanna go. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?
