Excel 2016 - SUM & AUTOSUM Formula - How to Use Addition Function - Calculate Total Rows in MS 365
In this Microsoft Excel 2016 tutorial, I teach you how to add up your numbers. It can take forever to punch everything in on a calculator, so why not use Excel to get your work done? Excel 365 is demonstrated on a Windows 10 PC, but these tips and tricks can be applied to a Mac OS X as well. The SUM function is a formula that adds a group of cells, also called a range. I show you various ways to write your formula, and also a few neat tricks using the AutoSum button and the fill handle. This tutorial is intended for beginners who want to learn more about how to set up and organize their spreadsheets. Hi, You will only see the error in green in the upper left corner of the cell if the formula doesn't follow the pattern that Excel expected. I hope this video helped you, thanks for watching!

ive tried all the ways you suggested. iv always been quite proficient in Microsoft programs, however, when it comes to getting the Grand Total in the bottom right corner, it is shadowed, it wont showup. it does have the correct number, but it is so light. what is wrong with my entries?? Hey Cristian, don't worry it's an easy fix. The number appears as #### because your column is too thin. Increase the size of the column and your number will be displayed.

Case problem 2 in Execl Module3 . 7.) In cell I6 calculate the amount of overtime hours by using the IF function to test whether cell G6 is greater than 8. if it is , return the value cell G6 minus 8 ; otherwise, return the value 0. I don't know if you have access to the text.

Hi Alan's World, I don't know without seeing your spreadsheet and formula. Make sure that you have the cell format set to 'Number' and that you're not adding percentages that round to 0.
