EXCAVATOR BUSTED BEAVER DAM!

Same channel as this excavator removed 2 weeks ago. But it was the end. Near the end we found beaver dam. The dam was blocking 2 channels. So now it's opened and the water is free to go.
This excavator is really big.

Government or farmer's association maintenance I guess. Alot of the canals you have worked on needed it, with some having 2 year or older saplings growing in them. The Elfa looked like the real house boss in your picture you posted. Her Momma is teaching her well. Now she has your hairline but that will soon change God willing. 😅
The operator over-did the digging! Water flowing like a river now. You will see erosion of the stream. Too straight to flow correctly.
Amazing how much water those dams hold back
You need one of those excavators and that is really gonna make the beavers angry...

This work should be is good for the ditch system. It's interesting to watch skilled operators.
It would have been interesting to see the water flow approaching the next crossing down stream.🤔And seeing what that excavator did to remove the dam and clean up the banks👍👍
Appears to be more of a canal resulting operation than a dam removal. That long arm of the excavator is exactly what you need when you get yours! Hope things are getting closer for you on that issue!

No it's a dam removal.
Great machine and driver, but it needs a smaller bucket with teeth to reduce the wear on the dipper and the boom

They are specializing on canal cleanings. I think they knows what they are doing ;)
It's called an extend a hoe, it's how most ponds are dug in the US now a days, no one can move or afford a dragline
