I wanted to thank you for your continued support for both active duty and veterans.... It's partly thanks to your inspiration im opening several shops just to give wounded vets the chance to work again..... So thank you i can only hope you read this....     One of the best interviews I've seen on here. A lot of other interviews have that sales pitch tone to them. I love the way he answered the questions short and to the point. A man that doesn't have time to mess around.

    The car in this video was made in 2006, If you looked at the sketches you could see it was no modern day look, Looked like something from Speed Racer.

    Pretty awesome car...looks like a cross between a GT40 and a Stingray. It's like something straight out of Speed Racer. An impressive machine for sure.

    THE CAMERA WORK IS A MESS, THE INITIAL WALK AROUND HE KEPT JAY IN FRAME WHEN WE WANTED TO SEE THE CAR.

    Jay if you ever see this.. you need to do more sit down interviews with car legends like Bob Shaw. I really enjoyed the talking part. it was very intriguing to learn about what influenced Brook in terms of design, and what influenced Bob in terms of materials among other things. Great interview, and video as always!

    I absolutely love Jay Leno's garage. My dad was a mechanic and if he were still alive he would appreciate it also. To see how you bring all those cars from our era back to life is wonderful. I know I'll never have the chance to afford a muscle car from my youth, as you and I Jay are around the same age, it's nice to see that someone like you can share the joy of the ride with us through your website.     It isn't to often we see Jay Leno turn back in to an interested 12 year old boy asking questions and being awe struck by who he is talking to and what he sees in front of him. This is one of those great few videos where Jay is able to show what really gets him going and what he enjoys while he is able to show his enthusiasm.

    Great interview Jay. We need more sit downs with these legends before they fade away with their history and incredible knowledge. Also surprised to see this great Brooks Stevens design come to life. What a beautiful car. I was fortunate to have a Stevens family Pantera and classic Excaliber in my driveway back in the late 80's thanks to a mutual family friend, when I grew up in Milwaukee.

    This is a very special car. One thing it has roots to the Excalibur that was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My home. Quality built by a old timer but still has a grip on the new. Love it. Thanks Jay.

    this is such a nice car . looks simply beautiful . the only draw back would be it has a common engine . but even that it not that bad , it is a good reliable power plant . the rear tires and wheels are simply beautiful . the guy who designed this was a artist genius . he in effect designed the 63 corvette . Bob Shaw added to it details worthy of any design house . Thanks Jay for showing us one off cars like this . There is no way we all could see these in action

    When I was young I used to view old people as useless, decrepit and pitiful. As if I would be young forever. Now at 62 years old I have a different view. Never thought I would live this long. Older people have wisdom and experience that transcends time. And when they pass away we lose a valuable resource. I was mistaken when younger. Very nice car. Thanks Jay.

    Excalibur... As an 80s child, that brings back memories of US replicas of 1930's Mercedes SSK's and SS Tourers and Roadsters. Giant sculptures of cars for Hollywood parties and the like, with the running boards and the six giant chrome pipes coming out of the coffin bonnet. Is that the same Excalibur? Is that this old man?

    Yes I think it would be absolutely outstanding if Jay would get a team together and build his own 1-off car. He could do a fantastic video series taking us through the entire process from idea to finish, even designing his own engine. Not many people have the ways and means to take on such a project, it would be his perfect car.

    Very cool. Very well done and nicely built. Looks and sounds great too! What a great legacy to leave behind. It's fantastic he got a boost in public awareness of these cars thanks to Jay.     Jay, you have to add this one to the collection....and with such a rare and beautiful car, give Mr. Shaw a signed blank check because if you got to ask the price you can’t afford it! (And you can!). What a beautiful sports car! Talk about a smart investment, what’s that car going to be worth in 10 years?, 2x or 3x what you pay now? BUY IT!!!
