Example 43 on Projection of Solids
A cone of base diameter 40 mm and axis length 50 mm is resting on HP on a point on the circumference of its base such that its apex is at 40 mm above the HP and its top view of the axis is inclined at 60 degrees to VP. Draw the top and front views of solid. Also, determine the inclinations of the axis when the base is nearer to the observer.

Yeah good doubt you asked, if you refer to the question it is clearly mentioned as "in the top view", which is an indication of final angle nothing but "beta".

sir we can't rotate that to 40mm line the base is going outside the line in test i got same problem I could not do and there axis length is given as 70mm
