Exactly how good is the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 6 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac?
The M18 FUEL 6 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac is loaded with all the features you need for cleaning up a wide variety of projects which include sawdust, drywall dust, concrete dust, and wet cleanup.
There's 3 Milwaukee filters available to use with this vacuum which include the blue high efficiency dust filter, a HEPA filter, and the foam wet filter. In addition to the 3 filters, a fleece prefilter is another accessory I recommend using. To find out more, check out the links just below.
One of the great things with this vacuum is that it's cordless and runs on any M18 battery. The advertised runtime on a M18 12Ah High Output Battery is anywhere between 31 on high and 47 minutes on low speed.

No, it's completely battery powered. It has good runtime for several projects on a single charge.
Nice review. What do you think of this vs the Packout vac? I’d be using for general jobs around the house, car, garage.

Great question! I haven't tested the 2.5 Packout vacs yet, but I've heard great things about them. I've tested the M18 backpack vacuum, which I use all the time and give a thumbs up to. Milwaukee is introducing a new Packout vacuum dust extractor this year which is great if you're running it along with tools, like for woodworking or other dust. What is the best size battery to use for optimum pick up power if you don’t have a 12ah battery?

I'd say a 8Ah high output or the new 6Ah Forge battery.
Whats the runtime in both modes with HO 6.0? Not sure why some people are saying a 12.0 is a must with the single battery, unless your vacuuming all day one 6.0 should be fine for the car, garage, etc..having another 6.0 on standby isnt bad either.

If I have a fully charged 6Ah HO, it lasts long enough for a single project. I found some stats on the 8Ah, saying they get ~30min on high and 50 on low.
I've never ran the wet filter in any shop vac I've owned

That's a good thing. I've had some minor flooded areas where it really comes in handy for fast water cleanup.
