People don't care that he's an awful employer or person. Just like the cult, it's mostly an American problem. If only he paid what he really owed. the taxes on his income are paid, the free services delivered by slaves of the church aren't. Hiding and selling his niece aren't exactly what a good man does. His cutie cutie wife knew that. More to the point, her father knew.

Cruise is imo a genuine psycho,, that little demonstration with Matt Lauer was really indicative of his state of mind... The Slop Gun acting like he's the first person to discover that Ritalin actually has a street value... THE MAN'S A GENIUS, slap a cap with a tassel on his head and slip that PhD into his back pocket the man's a master of the obvious, which wouldn't be so bad but Cruise is acting like he's educating the whole world or something.... This happens all the time with people who got a lot of money while not actually doing anything for it.. and that absolutely idiotic challenging stare he was giving Matt during his whole instructional monologue,, the only other person I've seen do that kind of psycho stuff with interviewers is Steven Seagull...

I honestly don't even understand at all why Tom Cruise has been regarded as highly as he has been/is in Hollywood. He's primarily a one note actor, even in his "golden" acting years. Not terrible in any sense, but not at all as legendary as he's made out to be. Put him in a film (or literally just one scene) with Daniel Day Lewis, Anthony Hopkins, Leonardo DiCaprio, ADRIEN BRODY... he couldn't hold a candle

Absolutely ! he was promising, not groudbreaking when he was young. He stopped "acting" long ago. Became an action figure in blockbusters, The only good franchise he can cherish is Mission-Impossible, no thanks to him..just wait 10 years and Simon Pegg will be hilar ious as ever at narrating the experience with a step back. if HE can't, Ricky Gervais will..you gotta love the British spirit. They make room for all kinds of humour and "all public" shows. they don't care about PC because they're not nasty to begin with..They cuddle little sociopaths too ever since they stopped beating their buttocks..(late 90s) but the English education provided generations of gentlemen.. Not that the king himself was too happy about it.. Somehow OO7, will always be the measure in most hearts. as will be the acclaimed actors of the series mission impossible. She said it's taught her a lot of good life lessons and I can understand that HOWEVER,, the whole thing was invented by a lunatic who wrote bad science fiction stories and never had an honest job in his life and focused his whole being on scamming people... I also believe that in a way psychiatry as a profession is more about making money and expanding their business by basically making stuff up,, social anxiety disorder? I would call it just another dimension of uncomfortable normalcy,, but these people want to fill people with drugs for all kinds of things that ordinarily would be treated with counseling .. The sort of a thing is kind of like the prison industrial complex, trying different ways of making more money on a sector of society that one generally does not want to see growing.... A lobbying group named ALEC,, American legal exchange council,, for instance, lobby lawmakers for stiff sentences for drugs and just about everything else, "necessitating" long prison terms in for-profit prisons that is of course all paid for by the taxpayer while still sleazing profit off of commercial enterprises that operate inside the prison itself,, usually some sort of small industry or even customer service for online and telephone...

Leah did a fantastic job, but I knew they used brain washing techniques. They tried to brainwash my 14 year old daughter who was taken to an orientation by a friend. Being of average intelligence, when my daughter told me they wouldn't let her go to the bathroom, eat or even drink water for four hours of orientation, I forbid her to return. I explained they were using brainwashing techniques. and she understood, so that was that. Easy peasy. Then I did research L. Ron Hubbard, and it was an eye opener. Tom Cruz is an absolute idiot!!!

I’ve met two men who claimed to have had sex with….let’s call him “Todd” Cruise. The first is a very normal guy I hung out with socially many times over the 32 years I’ve lived in Chicago. He’s well liked and regarded as honest. He also doesn’t draw attention to himself or tell outlandish stories. The second person I only met twice for short periods of time, therefore, I don’t know much about his reputation or honesty. The two men don’t know each other, and have never met to my knowledge. But here is what is interesting to me. Their short stories about the sexual encounters with TC were nearly identical. For example, he was looking for a specific physical trait in his sex partners. You don’t need your imagination hat to figure this one out. Also, the settings were the same. The first was at a large fundraising type cocktail event. And the second was also a cocktail event, but it was one that the second guy was working at as part of the catering team. Both said that he took the same position sexually and insisted on safety. Both indicated that he was extremely short in stature in person and wore a baseball cap pulled low to conceal his identity. And finally, it was a very one and done thing with little or no exchange of info or conversation. The reason I bring it up is that I just found it very interesting how the church of Scientology conceals the sexual orientation of several of its megastar members and I’m guessing is the selling point for some of these people to get involved with the church in the first place. Also, Amazing is the elaborate way that they create these marriage relationships for these men and carefully craft their public image as that of a straight hunk. The one that I always found hysterical is when Rosie O’Donnell would publicly swoon over Tom Cruise and make a big deal out of her huge attraction to him especially on her TV show before she ever came out. What a bunch of horse s***. The only interest Rosie O’Donnell ever had in Tom Cruise was maybe to arm wrestle him. Finally, I will say that coming out is an extremely difficult thing to do no matter how old a person is and no matter how self confident they appear. It is also supposed to be a very private decision and left up to the person that is dealing with it, so I didn’t want to make fun of that issue, but deciding not to come out and deliberately constructing the opposite message, always struck me as being extremely hypocritical.

I read Rob Lowe's book, and although he didn't say anything overtly bad about working with Tom Cruise, he did recount a story about him being laser focused on his role, and being in character at all times during filming. I'm completely paraphrasing, and it's been a long time since I read it. Basically, he said he couldn't hang out while they were filming different movies in the same city because he was "Joe" or whatever character he was playing, not Tom. From all of the different comments about Cruise by various people, he sounds like a narcissistic control freak. I'm also guessing that his exes had to sign ironclad non disclosure agreements when they divorced because none of them ever say anything about him. He gives me a bad feeling because he looks similar to my ex who was a major control freak and nearly destroyed me.

She was there for 13 days and was forced to do labor with only 1 meal per day and was not allowed to speak to anyone, not allowed to bathe and had to sleep on a concrete floor with no pillow or blanket. She told me this info when I pick her up for her fathers funeral. I was followed to my home and for the 3 days she stayed at my home there was a car parked down the road. The car went away after I returned her to LA. She apparently married a guy that was security in the center. It’s as if the part of the brain that holds any type of common sense is totally removed. Hello from the South of France, At the beginning of the 90s, while I was working in Paris (I was born there), the "Scientologists" tried to establish themselves in France. Their method of recruiting was quite vicious since they distributed flyers at the exit of the subway entrances in the form of an IQ test where it was mentioned nowhere that it was Scientology. Once it was completed, it was enough to contact a telephone number to obtain the test results. I remember at the time I called that number for the results. I was then given an appointment the same evening at an address in Batignolles (in the 9ᵉ arrondissement of Paris). I had gone there without suspecting more than that because I had been confirmed by telephone that everything was free. When I arrived at the address, I realized there was a problem. The building where I had an appointment seemed to be an old restored church, and more importantly, was inscribed in full, "Church of Scientology." I immediately understood that there was a problem. However, I went to the appointment anyway because I was curious and amused to see how they would try to sell me sales pitches. I did not wait once I entered the premises. A person immediately brought me to an office where a man took care of me. He told me that my tests were excellent but wanted me to pass others. Before that, he offered to watch a movie and took me to a room specially equipped for this purpose. A large screen and row of seats were identical to those in a movie theater. The film told the life of the aviator Ron Hubbard who later became a science fiction author and developed a revolutionary method to surpass himself humanly. After the film, I returned to my interlocutor, accompanied by a young woman who had looked after me before and after the screening. Everything seemed to be settled like clockwork. There, I was made to retake tests which, after analysis, showed my strengths and weaknesses. I listened to all this with great amusement. Until someone offered to sell me Ron Hubbard's book. I declined the offer despite the insistence of my interlocutor, who wanted to be persuasive. From there, the phone calls multiplied. They kept calling to invite me to come back and buy the book. I got angry and threatened to file a harassment complaint if they kept calling me. So, they finally gave up. A few years later, the Church of Scientology found itself in court (1995), was condemned for fraud in an organized gang, and declared an undesirable sect with a ban on practicing on the territory by the French authorities. Peace, folks. ☮😉

I was ordered to report to the commissary to be part of a pandering studio clack as (midget - no more than 5’5” in heels) Cruise was given a $300,000 Mercedes by Sherry Lansing, then head of production. Quite a bizarre photo op fiasco. Production couldn’t find anyone who cared about him. We had nothing to do with the guy but we had to pretend we deified him. I did have to cope with his sister, tho. The entitlement was appalling. I had to blind call some tiny theater in the Midwest to have six seats for the premiere of Mission Impossible roped off for her. Imagine me calling some poor ticket taker and convincing them I was calling from Paramount in Hollywood to demand that they lose the profit of those seats on opening night for the benefit of egotists - who never even showed up. I did it but I lost all respect for Hollywood by working in it for 30 years. God bless Far West TX! 🤣

They separate us, took me in to a space on the ground floor. After an hour or so, discussing me and the "test",- I exploded in anger. This didn't make any sense to me at all. I stood up, found the door LOCKED, unlocked it and started shouting for my friend. I ran around and up to the second floor where I did find her in another Locked office space. She was heartbroken in TEARS!!! I grabbed her and dragged her out of there. Shouted back to them: " Leave us alone you guys are insane. They tried halfheartedly to stop me, but my mind was made up. We was on our way out of there and we never looked back. She thanked me,- cause they had broken her in ONE hour. OMG. I'm so thankful to this day and keep warning everyone I meet about this. Puh... I haven’t watched a Tom Cruise movie since Lawrence Wright’s book Going Clear was published. Before the documentary, before Leah and her shows. The book detailed how Scientology traffics humans and many work on TC properties or vehicles. He participated in the abuse as Leah detailed what she saw first hand at his home. Also in Leah’s fantastic book, when she found Suri who was an infant crying on the bathroom floor at Tom and Katie’s wedding reception and Tom’s sister and other Scientologists were standing around doing nothing. Leah stormed into the kitchen and got her a bottle and demanded that they feed her. They treat babies as adults in babies’ bodies, their thetan isn’t a baby. It’s child abuse! I was so happy when Katie got away. She saw what happened to Nicole and her kids and luckily has a father who is a family law attorney. I was ecstatic when they blindsided TC and Scientology!

@@JustMe-uu3bh the lieutenant Dawson in charge of the "case' in his spare time actually gave speeches about scientology! When Leah Remini who started the missing persons charge asked to see the information of the "investigation" she was told it was private. Then she was told the paperwork would take a few weeks and she would then be able to have it. Turns out this has been years now and Remini never did get any information/paperwork on the case, she was only told they met Shelley, the wife, and she's fine. She has not been seen in public for over 16 years and counting! Yeah, quite normal for the wife of a "religion's leader" who was anywhere and everywhere to (the lie that is told) suddenly doesn't want to go out in public EVER for ANY event for their "religion" and is happy happy happy working working working KSW (keep scientology working) 24/7! Yeah, sounds totally plausible and normal! It is highly suspected that she is being held at their very private compound in Lake Arrowhead, California. And Cruise presumably friends with her since you know she is the wife of his "best friend" the leader, seemingly doesn't care or question this? REALLY??? Imagine being "best friends" with a person and you haven't seen that person's wife in years and years, wouldn't any sane normal person wonder what the you know what is going on?? @@buddygrimfield7954 had not heard that you had to join them to be an employee. They were more than keen to have me as their employee and I had answered an advertisement in the Columbus dispatch newspaper. I was only 22 years old and it was 1988 and the ad said it was for the church of Scientology and silly me thought it was an actual church. They really wanted my repro skills as it wasn’t that common back then. I had a lot of print work experience. After I started working for them, they were paying me in “credits “which was nothing but BS for not really anything, and let’s try and keep as much of that as we can by getting you to buy our junk. the only thing I got from them was a book because I felt sorry for the poor guy who kept trying to get me to buy something and I said well I’ll check it out and I bought the book and it was stupid. Who in their right mind is going to think sci-fi is real in the case that they had was ridiculous. It was all aliens and garbage, and really stupid. They had an office that they kept in pristine condition and had photographs of L Ron Hubbard and his wife on the walls and on the desk and I remember the door had a frosted glass from the middle part of the door to the top. The rest of the door was white. Kind of reminded me of the old fashion doors that she was seeing the doctors office from the 40s 50s and so forth. I was told that they kept the office ready to go so when L Ron Hubbard got there and he could be there at any time that it was all set for him. I didn’t find out so many years later that L Ron Hubbard died in 1985. Like I said it looks stupid. The whole thing seems stupid in like a gimmick to me and I didn’t last of the job because I didn’t like being screwed around. I was a young mother and I didn’t have time for their mess. It definitely had a cold feeling to it. Their eyes were glazed over and they were just strange. My immediate boss seemed like an old hippie really. But now I don’t know that you ever had to be a member of the church to work for them. I don’t think they had any problem, screwing anybody out of money. Hope that helps. Later they hired a guy that was a former Mormon. They had this game they would play, "My cult, was worse than your cult." They would compete and the rest of us would score. They were in a dead heat for 3 years. When I got a new job, my last request from my supervisor was, "replace me with an ex Jehovah's Witness, those guys need somebody new to commiserate with." Honestly, I think those 2 guy becoming friends was the best thing that could have happened to either of them. The rest of us couldn't believe what they had been through. The things they said were so bizarre to us. Yet, it was completely normal in their old life. If you are miserable, do what you have to in order to initiate positive change. Positive is the key word.

The older was a gorgeous young lady so he was all smiles and happy to speak to her but would not say anything to my daughter, not even an autograph. I takes a situation like Diana's to bring your situation to the general public! I have done something similiar. It's a tough situation to be in! And I wanted OUT! I was ready to do anything to get them out of my life. I wonder if most high profile people that have joined the church was merely a way to escape the church. Just think about it. I still have to hide from my situation, but it's nowhere as bad as it was at one point 25 years ago. JMO people, nothing else. Thanks for listening. FYI, it's late, and it's possible I have made a mistake in my writing, so please, just let me know!

Miscavige was a Comodore's Messenger. Part of his job was to relay orders from Hubbard. He was to relay the order in exactly the way it was given. Hubbard was prone to "volcanic rages" so the person best able to "duplicate" those rages would advance quickly. It became a "successful action" for Miscavige, and Tom learned it and uses it as a tool.

I worked at a large casino in the 90's. A coworker told me that a floorperson talked to one of the regular customers, an older gentleman. This customer told her that one time he was on a plane and Tom and Nicole was seated over from him and a couple seats down. He was a fan of Tom's and kept looking back at him. After they were in the air he heard Tom being rude to Nicole. And then he heard a slap. He said he looked over and realized that Tom had slapped Nicole. He said that was the day he stopped being a fan of Tom Cruise. I had a hard time believing that Tom had slapped Nicole. Now I believe that he could have easily slapped her.

What a bag of dirt he truly is, so disappointing that someone with his influence, celebrity with such deep pockets is brainwashed so easily and feels is just fine to abuse your wife in public, ha ! If he did that to me he’d get it right back with a closed fist . To bad it took her 11 years to flush that waste product away !

I read recently that Cruise refuses any scenes requiring him to be abusive to women. I found that interesting considering he seems to turn a blind eye to all abuses against women in Scientology. Excellent interview. Claire is always fantastic and willing to share her knowledge with us. And Andrew, you asked great questions.

I loved the first few movies I saw him in -The Firm, A Few Good Men, Born on the Fourth of July - but those are just the type of movie I like. I haven't seen any of his action movies cause they're not my cup of tea. I was really disappointed in Born on the Fourth because I just couldn't find Tom's portrayal of his character believable, but forced myself to watch the whole movie because I was interested in the story. Then I tried to watch Magnolia and just found his character too repulsive. I thought about it for quite some time. Why did I find him so good in the first two movies and repulsive in the next two? Finally, I came to the conclusion that he really can't act. In the first two movies, he played an intense young lawyer, highly driven, idealistic, fresh out of law school and laser focused on the task at hand. There was no character development and little emotional life involved. When he brought that same lack of emotionality to his other movies, he flopped big time. When I heard he was in a cult, it all made sense. Cults train people to wear a mask at all times, regardless of situation. When you see him in interviews - where he is presumably not acting - he looks like he is wearing a teflon mask laminated onto his face - it's his Stepford Wives mask.
