Ex-RCMP intelligence official Cameron Ortis sentenced to 14 years in prison
Cameron Ortis, a former high-level RCMP intelligence official found guilty of leaking top-secret information to police targets, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.
This includes the time he has already served before his trial, meaning Ortis will only spend seven years behind bars.
Touria Izri reports on the judge's reasons for the sentence and why this case may have permanently damaged Canada's reputation with its Five Eyes allies.

What's so vague about a 14 year sentence? You can't read numbers? Or do you mean you want more details of the case? That's been reported previously already.

Ya he's been in jail for a while. 14 minus time served and he will be eligible to get out in 7 with good behavior...i guess.
Should have been a life sentence. Minimum 25 years.
Give him his 28 years because if it was someone else they would get 28 years without any second taught
So the heading clearly states 14 years, but the reporter said 7 years. Canadian journalism at it's finest.

doing "dead time" counts as double or used to i was told it doesnt anymore but if he spent 3 years in prison then was sentenced to 14 years those 3 years would count as 6 and minus parole he could be out in 1-2
The next Hollywood film script is originated from … Canada
This is a lenient sentence for Ortis, who deliberately passed Five Eyes top secrets to Chinese officials in China's 🇨🇳 embassy.

also "The defence filed more than two dozen support letters, including one from Michael Kovrig, one of two Canadians detained in China for almost three years. Kovrig, who spent over 1,000 days in solitary confinement, said someone with Ortis's "high intelligence and ... curious mind" shouldn't "rot in a prison cell for the sake of deterrence."" in other words, canadian dissidents who were imprisoned in china actually VOUCHED for kovrig, so him being a chinese asset makes no sense whatsoever. also according to you people trudeau is owned by the chinese government, in that case it makes no sense for him to arrest this dude.
