As someone who was a heroin addict and lives less then 10 miles from that exact crossing and cross it at least once a week if not 4 or 5 rimes a week utilizing all 3 crossing methods (pedwest, main ped, and auto. I didn't have a sentry pass) this is not possible5, lanes are walled in with those concrete barriers that are like 3.5ish feet tall 6to8 feet long and at the top 8 inches wide and at the bottom starting to taper outwards at the last foot they get to about a foot and a half wide the same ones they use on the sides of freeways. Well those start like a good 1/3 mile from the border where all the statue shops start (more then half qre a front for drugs, that whole plaza is run for drugs, but they wont rip you off surprisingly) CBP agents are swapped out regularly, thats why there is aways a line (except like weekdays at 3am, but its so slow they are expected to read the full riot act to every car) that way they cant say "oh go to line 5" vecause by the time the car makes it to line 5 the cbp agent wont be there
