It's normal practice to breed ewe lambs, here, if they are over 50 kg, the important thig is to breed to a ram that sires a smaller headed, narrow shouldered lamb or you'll have a lot of push-me-pull-you's. And also a breed of ram that produces a really vigorous lamb. Ewe lambs, bred to suffolk and the resulting lazy lamb that lays there for 1/2 hr before getting up, is a disaster. The other drawback is ewe lambs that drop a lamb and run from it, I'm not sure if you get the same issue with older first time lambers? I always let the ewe lambs mother up in a lambing pen. Hi Glyn, wow, that wind, fog and constant rain looked really bad in this video. The way the water was flowing you can see how much rain you have had. Congrats to Charles for getting the 300 sheep scanned in a 1 hour period. Looks like you had perfect weather to test the Snickers apparel with the cold and wet weather. Hopefully one day your dad can take a vacation in the warm sunshine and relax. It seems like he is going to work until he can't do it anymore. Poor Charlie. It looks like he was struggling with all of the rain, wind and dreadful weather. He is such a great Labrador.

Glyn, if you get much more rain you'll go rusty, the weather is dire but hopefully things will get better soon. Your sheep look well despite the wet so you must be good shepherds, look after your father he needs to be careful with the bad weather but I imagine he's pretty tough. Great scan results really love your scotch ewes it will be interesting to see what the lanark cross will perform like. Your mule ewe lambs looking good ,they will need a bit of tlc carrying such a crop of lambs it just shows how prolific the mules are even as ewe lambs.

Fog is thick. Just call you ultra sheep person and tell him of extreme fog. Cannot gather sheep well, because you cannot see them. However, this video might be a week old. But I’m careful with my monies and since KZread and notoriety money is coming in a bit more. You’ll see after lambing mule ewe lambs the first year I shear then before they get the ram they have a bigger fleece harder get a problem lamb sucking with smaller teats

Jaysus lads yer starting to get free stuff, 12 and a half thousand subs plus, before long you’ll be givin yer man Pemberton and the father a run for his money! Great scan . I gave up putting the ram with lambs , mainly because I’m too old for the hardship and I was never able to get the feeding right I either gave them to much and couldn’t get the lambs out of them or not enough and had small little lambs and not a lot of suck. But then again I was always lambing them at the end of lambing and I was just nackered and mad busy by then moving ewes and lambs.
