What really struck me about the docu was just how kind Ewan Mcgregor was as a human being. No airs of a Hollywood superstar. Looked after Charlie both physically and emotionally like a true friend would. Very charming dude.

I LOVED this series - from Round, Down to Up! But, what I’m really hoping for now is a music album from Ewan McGregor where he sings acoustic. He has a lovely voice.

I've just read the book The Long Way Round and I am in awe of what they achieved. I just didn't want the book or the trip to end! It's entirely their fault that my huband and I bought two GS1200 BMW Adventure bikes and experienced the bliss of riding them. We watched The Long Way Down too and found their adventure amazing. I am now on a quest for Charley's book, Race to Dakar, an early Christmas present to myself.

Well, they were Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman In "𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝" I'm looking for the last one..? (episode) Driving downtown, you come home and the whole town is riding with you. It was fantastic to see

I dig the KTM Adventures, but I think they are more of a Dakar type racer, or close to home adventure bike, as they have chain drive, more difficult to access engine. Love to have both, but I can only afford one adventure bike and I also want it as a long distance, easy to maintain all arounder.

Respect to you man, but to be fair, they tried very hard to never involve the crew - which they seem to have managed pretty successfully until they hit the Mongolian hellscape. From there to Alaska I agree that it was less of a solo biking adventure and more of a generic survivalist tv program.

Charly gets props! Ewan? Eh, man-up-picture boy (but what can you expect from a dick who dumped his wife and kids for the latest update actress?) Honestly, knowing you have all the gear at your fingertips is a hell of a lot more than knowing there is nothing behind you… or just are oblivious (both in my case… wouldn’t do it now!) But they did seem to play out in Mexico where he celebrity status was inviting the possibility of kidnapping… from now on… all adventures are will be on set with millions of insurance to protect cutie-pie from getting his face wreck… 😏

All the times his fans recognized him, he was always gracious and took photos with them and signed autographs. Also, he’s smart enough to know being a big name movie star opens lots of doors , though he doesn’t overuse it. I’ve seen all the long way rounds, ups and downs. He’s pretty unaffected.
