FYI, i believe that both BMS temp sensors should be mounted at different points on the battery, this is for redundancy and also temperature uniformity across the packs. The Unity contains its own temperature sensor and can manage thermal throttling of the esc far better than the bms can. Otherwise another great video. Im impressed with how often you're getting these uploaded. keep up the good work :)

Sup Q? Yes mate you are right, no real need to measure the MC temp with the BMS, just for lols. BMS not controlling discharge anyways so not measuring temps to throttle, just for info. Turns out the battery is kaput anyways, groups 4 and 6 dead! Another repair to do... yes I have been pumping videos out, but will have to slow down the content soon, it's been quite tough

@@LeeWright How much $$$ and how much work is it to install a focbox anyways?? I am extremely interested but have little to no experience. Obviously I would need new motors? New battery?? New remote??? I just literally went back to the 150kv stock motors because the heatsink was getting hotter than normal and my range was killed with the extra 22amps. I want more speed, reverse option, and more range, however I am not sure I can do the installation completely on my own without screwing something up.

Extending the wires to get the plugs inside the enclosure is good. I experimented with short power wires that were 'just enough' was okay, but I couldn't extend the sensor wires myself. I brought my board back to the builder and he was surprised the motor wires hadn't been pulled out during all my Cross Country rides.

I am a big fan of that remote , would advise securing the charge port with a bit of glue or better still put one of those magnetic charge port adaptor things in it , maybe shorten the on/off switch with a scalpel about 1mm but not definately needed , with regards to the unity set up , I will never be an esk8 builder , when I looked at the computer screen it just looked like the matrix to me and that’s supposed to be one of the simplest to set up lol
