Evolution
Explore the concept of biological evolution with the Amoeba Sisters! This video mentions a few misconceptions about biological evolution before providing a general definition. Then this video provides a description of four different evolutionary mechanisms (gene flow, mutations, genetic drift, and natural selection). Finally, the video presents several lines of evidence for biological evolution including homologies (molecular, anatomical, and developmental), the fossil record, and biogeography.

Tomorrow is my neet ug examination and how great full I'm that I got this channel a day before the examination . Most of the concepts are getting cleared already
I still remember back in 8th grade when I discovered your channel and used to study biology from your videos. I have now passed 12th grade and still sometimes watch your old videos just because of how you are able to teach in a very fun way. Thank you for getting me interested in Biology
It’s gonna be a lit day when the science teacher pulls y’all’s videos up on the screen.🔥🔥🔥
I have my bio exam tommorow and Im just watching all of yalls videos and they are helping me SO MUCH THANK YOU😭🙏
ngl bro i thought you were a chanel that like died years ago i went here to find a review and you guys posted 18 hours ago wow still going strong congrats
love the DND refference, and this video is epic. You guys are awesome like I literally watch your stuff for fun. Thanks for being the best ang getting me through biology class!

Hello Amoeba Sisters. I am a high school student watching you from Turkiye. I discovered you while looking for a biology channel on KZread for the exam I will take this year and I am glad I did. Thanks to your simple and entertaining lectures, I was able to learn many subjects faster than usual. I would like to ask you a favor. Since my English is not very good, I try to watch your videos with KZread's auto-translate feature. Although this feature works well from time to time, it usually does not work very well and inevitably the efficiency I get from the video decreases. If you don't mind, could you please add subtitles in different languages to your videos? I hope you see my message and I didn't bore you. May your success continue. I wish you a good day.
You help so many people its amazing. You two ladies and your team (if you have a team that is) deserve an award or a grant or some recognition. You fill in the gap where so many professors fail. I want to sincerely thank you for all the hard work, commitment and dedication. I also love that you continue to do this year after year. I am going to look, but I hope you put a donation link in every single bio. You have saved so many students, each person should pay you what they can afford because you are worth it. In fact you value far exceeds any monetary amount. Thank you so much
Hi! I just want to say that I'm a French biology student, in a 2 languages classe, and my teacher showed us those video for exemple, and I just love it! I will now follow my channel, I'm sure it will be both a great assets for passing exams, and getting a better English. So just... Thank you for your work and passion. ( sorry if there's flaws in my english)
Your timing is impeccable. I just had this topic loosely taught to me, and it’s coming up in my January mock exams! You’re saving my life :’)

LITERALLY SAVING MY BIOLOGY GRADE 🙏
Hey😄🖐 I don't know if yall's teachers do this but my biology teacher makes us watch the amoeba sister videos and then quizzes us on them. It's really fun and I think that this is the best way to learn. It has made biology my favorite subject in school😁 Love your videos💙

Thank you so much for all of your videos!! A always check to see if you have a video on the content that I am currently reading, (Biology) and you often don’t disappoint!! You have a way of making science really fun, all while teaching us so well! Science is my favorite subject since finding your channel! #A+!!!!!!
Really appreciate ur videos they help me alot even when i am in University right now. I must say , u have a really Amazing way of teaching, thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone in such a creative and fun-filled manner.
My sister told me I would do well in biology if I watched you and I did.

I have my degree in Zoology, what people need to keep in mind is that: evolutionary changes within a species = observable, testable science; evolutionary changes into a completely different species = ideological, materialist philosophy. People act like microevolution + time = macroevolution, yet nature trends towards conservatism of the genome rather than innovation, as most random mutation is either outright harmful or completely useless. Thinking that random mutation & miraculous spontaneous generation are sufficient to explain the natural history of life on Earth is not only incredibly naive, but also bordering on religious dogma.

Every human has a timestamp on when they were born. Lets use January 1 2000 at 2:07 AM, if you go back in time there has to be a timestamp for the first human. The question now arises what species was the parent of the first human?
@davidrosen5137
2 ай бұрын
In the context of biological evolution, that's a nonsensical question. Every individual organism is the same species as its parents and its offspring. Understanding that takes a lot of prerequisite understanding of biology and a deep dive into the topic of biological evolution.

@@davidrosen5137 Your answer is nonsensical answer. And also its not answer at all because your didn't answer the question. You basically said evolution is true because science. I am a scientist, I'm a computer scientist, science is the method of how we do something. If I can understand computer science concepts surely I can understand your make believe fairly tale of animals magically changing into other animals unless of course there a plot holes (like the one I outed in my original comment) that were never thought when making it up.

If the lawnmower could hit a grasshopper, it would also hit the soil and ruin the lawn and machine. Most lawnmowers Cut the grass down to at least an inch in height.
@stevenpowell8278

I'm pretty sure lawnmowers are designed to draw air and objects up from the ground, not just cut. Otherwise every lawnmower just cuts and leaves all the cut grass and stuff behind. So grasshopper vs. mower blades that both pull them up as well as cut = what you see.
The alleged mechanism is absurd. The bias in this field is so widespread and intractable it is has disqualified it from being a serious scientific endeavor.

It is preposterous to believe that everything came from nothing, that the elegant laws of physics, chemistry, nuclear reactions and planetary motion, as well as symmetry, order and harmony, sprang from, and that life came from a mixture of chemicals, which eventually spawned intelligence, logic, self-consciousness and morality. Romans 1:19-21 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Although something can technically come from nothing (it’s a long explanation and I’m too tired to do it all over again), and even if it couldn’t, that wouldn’t indicate a God. Why would the creator/s of the universe have to be conscious. It could literally just be an eternal extra-dimensional field of energy, there are infinite possibilities for what it could be other than a God.
