No, I did not. You can remove it. If you want to see the logs of your car, then you would have to leave it plugged in.
how do you know if you need adjustment, nice video BTW

When you are about to install the tune it tells you what you need to adjust the waste gate. It says stock, but I wanted to double check.

I’m happy with it. If you have a 2021 or newer car, it’s harder to install the tune. You have to unlock the ECU. It can be more of a headache.
All you did was plug it in and play with the waste gate 🤷🏻♂️🤣
