My favorite will always be Ben, but Gary's death made me the angriest. Not at the COG who killed him, but the devs for literally giving him no dialogue and killing him off in less than 5 minutes. What makes it worse is after hearing his dialogue in 5, he would have been a great character. He has the youthful energy and scrawny figure of Ben, the (lack of) tactical awareness of Anthony, but the vengeful anger of Clayton.

Tia Macklin the crack on the front of his helmet? That crack was from gears of war 3 when a stranded shot his helmet with a sniper mistakenly shooting him because he though Clayton and his group was lambent.

also, forgot to mention. People say "Shit, Marcus has had a rough life." Okay, fair. Marcus lost His Dad, Dom and Anya, as well as some friends. But remember that Dom and Anya were also Clayton's friend (not as close obviously, but still). Clayton has then also lost two of his brother's, his Niece, and his cousin, as well as his friends. I'm sorry, but whilst i get Marcus has had a shit time, Clayton is the true "Sole Survivor" type guy. also also, Marcus gave up on the COG, and opted for a quiet life; we know Clayton never left the COG, instead being promoted and becoming a Trainer for new recruits, meaning he probably lost even more people he knew through 25 years of battles.

In the lore they actually put steroids in their rations, they even tried making genetically superior soldiers at these breeding farms so yea.

Clayton is 25-27 in gears 3 , pressumibly the father of gary because lizzie calls him uncle. D. Carmin is the 2nd oldest of the 4, pressumibly the father of lizzie. Anthony was approximitly 19 to 20 years old in Gears 1. Benjamin was likely around 17 to 18 years old in Gears 2. I think since Ben tells dom to tell his brothers ( Clayton & D. Carmine) and his mom that he loves them, It would be really cool if the brother's Father was also a COG during E-Day. Unless if the Gears Judgement easter egg was canon and the family were insurance reps.

The main reason was because Anthony and Ben were both kids clearly based on how innocent they both were Anthony only lasted a week and Ben lasted 4 days they were too young and inexperienced too do anything impacting towards the war and were simply just COG gears and pawns that the COG used just like every other soldier which I why they were wearing the standard cog outfit unlike Clayton and Lizzie

Ben got it rough, jesus christ. Anthony, Gary and Lizzie all got insta deaths, but poor Ben got his stomach ripped out and burnt alive in acid....yeesh. someone headshot the man for his misery. Also, notice how Clayton got his armor upgraded because of Ben and Anthony? his helmet is now bullet reflective (or shatter reflected, as mentioned in lore) which he had the idea of from Anthony's death, and his armor is also Acid resistant. In Lore it's also noticed that he has a huge hatred for anything resembling worms, and will shoot them on sight. Go Clayton. If they ever kill Clayton Carmine, ya'll know imma be pissed af. Let the man live, he's the last one...but saying that, we know Lizzie is his Niece, so Clayton could well have a son/daughter...who would be the right age.... Oh god, here we go again.

@@weeniehutjrs1305 it moreso ben’s team failing him, seriously did not a single person on that chopper think to grab onto Benjamin or at least secure him in some shape or form? Anthony was him being careless on a battlefield when he should of kept his head down.

The other door was right where the hammer of dawn was firing, so she probably though that if she went out that door = real ugly death.

The hammer of dawn is like a very hot beam of light that burns like the surface of the sun. Just the impact of a fully charged blast leaves craters man. If she went out the other side she "could've survived" but I'm guessing she panicked in that situation as it closed in on her and she didn't think of using the other door. Trust me I wanted lizzie to live as well...

Benjamin Carmine, a freaking legend to me, i was so angry when he died, he was such a nice kid, didn't deserve what happened to him

Probably because it was of that novice mistake that cost him his life. That and there was no real build up to his death.

Rip Ben Carmine😭. He’s my favorite. And the most lovable brother. I root for the kid every single time. His death hurts just as much every time too.

Till this day, I will always feel bad for Clayton. The last Carmine left. My favorite Carmine is either Lizzie or Anthony. Poor Ben just wasn't prepared for anything and scared. Ben and Lizzie was the saddest in my opinion. The best looking Carmine is Gary or Clayton though

Clayton actually isn’t the last Carmine, There was four brothers, Anthony, Benjamin, Clayton and D Carmine, Clayton being the oldest, Lizzie and Gary presumably were D Carmines children.

Then why wouldn't they carry on the tradition with another brother? The Carmine's are iconic to the franchise. I think it's more likely that the developers just don't care.

The funny thing is that even if clayton died on the beach he still would've lasted longer in the storyline than any other carmine

Clayton deserves once again to be part of the war winning op like in gears 3. The man lost everything and deserves a honorable story ahead. After all, he fought and won the previous war in 3.

He still has his brother and mom. And his brothers son Gary is confirmed alive.

One thing that disappointed me about gears is we never got to see the 4th brother. After Clay I thought we’d see the 4th brother but it seems we only ever see the offsprings of Clay and I’m assuming the 4th brother. Unless they did show him and I just don’t remember lol

Lizzie's death was certainly the saddest.

I imagine if clayton dies it would be in a thermopylae type of situation on gear against all odds.

Carmine was one of my favorites, I remember when I did everything to save Carmines when he got downed and I would even take bullets to save him.

To be honest I think Benjamin had to be my favorite one. GOW2 was my first game in the series and I had grown attached to him, feeling terrible when he died in a horrible way in the worm.

Benjamin was my favorite I felt bad he died in the rift but at least he was always cheerful even when times got tough and it hurt to see him die the way he did but aside from him Clayton was awesome too

fun fact: i was scared of the first monster thing that u meet in the game i got so scared that i quit gears of war 1 i have not played it after that day lol

Played all the games a countless number of hours and yet I always do the training portion in gears 2 to be nice to Ben lol, hes just too precious.

Literally always happens to me when ever on family meetings and when parents friends come or visa versa 24:04

I think probably one of the most unique things about the carmines is that every game they have a different armor so its easy to tell each apart. I think my favorite armor set has to be either ben's or clayton's

I’m glad you got these many views for taking time out your way to create this sad story

I feel so very sorry for carmine, so many of them died and honestly Clayton was one of my favorites

we damn sure need a Remastered von Gears 2 and 3 to have the Trilogy Remastered

I’ve heard he’s still alive, and that hit did seem survivable, if concussion inducing.

I really want to see Clayton have a happy ending and have some kids, name them Anthony and Benjamin…

They knew how to play with people’s feelings. The Carmine brothers were always my favourite but they kept dying.

Clayton is literally Master Chief in the gears world. He's an absolute unit and you'll never see his face
