While I do like the Tawna we see in Crash 4, with her being from another universe where Crash and CoCo are gone, it's an excuse to give her a new design, I do hope they bring back the OG Tawna in a future game or even an alternate costume.

Assuming that she IS from an alternate universe. Judging from her awkwardness on Crash and Coco, either she's from the original universe, but got lost in the alternate universe; Or if memory serves (I remember in another commentary vid that they are currently in the 11th dimension), then it would be Evil Crash and Coco in the alternate dimension (callback on Twinsanity).

@@operationstratos1013 If she's the original Tawna that somehow ended up in another universe and is now meeting the Crash & Coco of her original universe again, why would she lie about that being the case? I really think it's as simple as it appears: she's from a universe where her Crash & Coco died at some point and she's badly trying to lie about that having happened to spare their feelings. I really don't think the plot of this game will get all that overcomplicated. Obviously in a couple of days we'll know and I'll gladly eat my words if I was wrong.

Fun Fact: Tawna broke up with Crash after the events of the first game after realising that he became loony. Since she never saw his transformation and change until Crash saves her. EDIT: I’m starting to think there is more to this because in the flashback tapes in Crash 4, Crash acts like his normal weird self. So I’m not sure if this is the reason why Tawna left him. All we know is that Tawna did leave him for a reason.

I kind of don't like how flat-faced they made her look in 4, I think she looked better with a muzzle, but it's still interesting to see how Tawna changed over the years.

@@booksmartthealicorn3219 I'm gonna be straight with ya 1-it was like that before politics and morals, and more stuff begun entering the game culture,also cartoony male characters going in and out of a female exclusive private room was a running joke that time 2- Yeah it's a reference to the Og Tawna,good memories,but coco isn't there, she is at the iceberg lab instead,look to the cutscenes, and I'm sure Coco don't has the age to be there,also she was going to have a playable level,but it was cut from it,aside that Tawna is a grown woman of mutant bandicoot,and is natural to have features like that, specially in a cartoony game, needless to say that's why it works well as a girlfriend of the hero character,a valiant hero with a beautiful girlfriend 3 by last but not least,these aren't mistakes,they are jokes on a 16 year old game because in that time it was clearly fine, Twinsanity,Crash of titans and Mind over mutant had all a unique humor to them, happily Crash 4 got that slice of the pie too And with that I end my point

Yeah its kinda sucks that most people (specially the insecure right wings) claim its feminist propaganda when they gave a role to a female character that had little to non personality and it was just a sexy trophy for the winner. People tent to forget that you can take a trope character and make it better. I just that most of the time it backfire with the ghostbusters reboot and recently mulan. You can't find value if you are willing to hate on everything that reminds you something bad.

Every character needs a flaw or some point where they develop humility for something they've done wrong. When you never give that character that chance to be wrong and they are always right and self-assured of it then it becomes propaganda. It's the basics of the hero's journey (Male or Female).

I don't like the new hair. Everything else from the forehead down looks great, but the hair looks off. It's not even the style, since it looked pretty good in all of their concept art. It just translated poorly. Should have been a bit longer in the back and not so...Angular. Feel like overall her alt-costume Braid from CTR would have been better. Give more of a Lara Croft feel. Also hope that Australian Ranger concept art they had is one of her costumes. That one was great all around.

The worst offense is that tumblerite blue hair. I can almost see Tawna waving "End the Patriarchy" signs.

I hope they'll add old Tawna design too to a new game, cuz as I understood this Pirate Tawna is from another dimension

I honestly think they should have kept the same body silhouette from the original but change her hair and outfit, now she looks totally unrecognisable (I know it's supposed to be like that because she's from a different dimension, but it's kind of a stretch to make her look THAT different)

She went from a 'blonde bombshell', which was popular in the 90s...to a blue-haired lesbian, the popular fad in the late 2020s. Just like girls in the real world.
