I can kinda understand why they want a new Tawna. She's basically Crash's ex who started dating Pinstripe. She really doesn't have much to do with them anymore. New Tawna is traumatized by having lost her Crash and Coco so she has more reasons to stay with them. I just wish she actually looked more like Punk Tawna than a completely new character :/ they could have just modded Nitro Fueled version of Tawna, would have been great.

they made a more sexualized tawna because her story with the pinstripe was because of the arts given to tawna analyzers used clothes kinda "too short" for the children's audience what made a naughty dog have to exclude the character from the games to follow, so the crash 4 tawna is literally a joke with this review

I rlly like trilogy and the racing design. She’s adorable in my opinion. I can understand her look in the newer one since she’s part of a different universe but.. the character looks completely different all together, facial and ear design really resembles non of her other designs.. heh so that’s my main problem

I’m fine with the Crash 4 redesign since it’s an alternate version of Tawna, but I really wish they did the face different, mainly the ear placement and snout to make it line up a bit more with trilogy Tawna

The remasters had her quite balanced in both personality and design

It seems like we won't see the original tawna anymore. In the crash 4 art book it says alternate tawna is joining with crash & coco for good.

Well Tawna in Crash 4 is kind of a new character since the one there is from a different universe.

I prefer original Tawna from Crash 1 N sane Trilogt

I don't mind her new design. It's just the hair. They need to give her a new haircut.

People are really looking too deep into the redesign in crash 4, she’s literally from a alternate dimension of course she’s gonna look different from the previous games. I think the only thing I would change rlly is the face placement

its also the body proportions, Tawna in crash remastered 1-3 had a very tall upperbody that was about as long as her legs, while crash 4 tawna has a much smaller upperbody with a longer lower body (legs) which shifts her proportions ALOT.

Honestly, why change the character into something she’s not? She was already beautiful originally the way she was…. It’s like that different version of her is a completely different character… And that voice in the newer games REALLY doesn’t fit her or her original character at all, the personality or anything, her new upgrade while nice, they basically took everything away that made her her and turned her into a tomboy, they should of just stuck to Debbie Derryberry… It’s pretty much EXACTLY what they did to Bo Peep in Toy Story 4… UPDATE: Now Peach in the new Mario movie… 😔

Parents in the 1990s complained about OG Tawna being "too sexy" for a childrens' game so in the sequel they dropped the character and replaced her with Coco Bandicoot, who is a breastless child therefore mother-approved. According to lore, to explain away Tawna's absence they said that Tawna broke up with Crash, leaving him for Pinstripe Potoroo.

I saw it at the back of a game guide for the "first" 4th game (the one where Crunch Bandicoot was introduced) and I think the franchise was still under Naughty Dog. The game guide is 20+ years old.
