Earlier games made up in creativity what they lacked in graphics. Watch fatal fury, art of fight. They had a soul. Nowdays they think realistic graphics make a better game☹️ and dont forget to pay for DLC

@@SodaSeezn Paul phoenix tekken 2 had a punch that took 95% of your health and if you get countered , it's a 100% damage. They nerfed that in the next series.

Most satisfying move to land in gaming history.

98 Ralf's Galactica Punch was the best. It was a last ditch hope against stronger fancy fighters. That really did him a disservice nerffing him like they did.

I miss the old Ralf Jones, fun, easy to use, one of the biggest damaging characters in KOF, until he got changed into his rushdown archetype rather than his charged high damage archetype.

That’s always been the weird thing about Team Ikari. Like with Leona she played like a rush down character but is a charged character.

@@darnell7871Usually, characters with charge inputs have a strong move tied to it. Leona’s running sword slash can’t be punished in KOF XV. If she didn’t have charge inputs, it’d be very difficult defeat her.

I very miss how Ralf's G.Phantom can absorb enemy attack & increase it's DMG. I forgot....in XV - removed it's Guard Piercing effect.

0:38 Honestly, iv never played this game. I have no idea who this guy is or what hes capable of. Hell, i just stumbled on this vid by accident. But once i came across this part, it all changed. Once i just watched this guy get super'ed then proceeded to PUNCH his way OUT of said super and ko him in one punch, it was like my 3rd eye opened up. It was all my questions answered in one fell swoop. Holy shit, this game looks amazing!

That was KOF 98 honestly one of the best, though if you wanna start playing i would reccomend starting with 2002 since it has some of the best gameplay and a large fanbase, though the first one is KOF 94

I used to play KoF 97 in the arcade when I was little and up until today after i I watched this video realized he says Galactica Phantom lol 25 years later 😅

At maximum charge , countering this attack would be a 1 hit KO. Game developer: not for long.

So sad to see that they killed the point of the GP. It was meant to be Feared and respected. Now you can jab at most parts to stop it, no matter when it's going on you can stop it with a projectile. Used to be that you saw that wind up, you got out of the way... that was it. you have a command grab?.. hope you know when they are coming at you so you can time it right. Unless you were Geese or one of a few people that had a counter stance... you got out of the way because there was no stopping this move. Now... the move isn't even worth the bars or commitment to pull it off

2D sprites > 3d models Another thing that makes me upset about modern fighting games is how they use 3D renders for the profile of the characters instead of artworks. KOF XIV and XV use 3D renders Nothing against those but drawings are much better! In SNK Heroines they used artworks for the characters and those look really good!! I was hoping they use artworks for the characters in KOF XV 😞 I was hoping

The coolest clashes: 0:37 1:15 2:02 2:14 2:18 2:22 2:56 3:02 This video made me realize that KOF Maximum Impact (2004) was where they started to nerf the Galactica Phantom, KOF XII the nerf was worse and now in recent games the Galactica Phantom isn't even close to the shadow of what it was 😞 Such a tragic tale.

KoF 13's Galactica Phantom could lead into some sick combos though, so that's nice.

XIII was such a gorgeous game.

Yeah i remember this move all right was playing 98 using Iori use his special which can stun oppenent for few seconds use it on Ralf AI and thought haha you got stun then 1-2 second later bang and i was like wtf ouch near half health gone zzz.

I like how hits just bounce off his back when he's crouched.

I remember playing KOF97 with a friend when it first came out and I told him, “Hey, just block - I want to try something.” BOOM! “Hahaha! You can’t block the Galactica Phantom, Sucka!”
