The only reason why that change was (and still is) happening so quickly is because the lower and middle class citizens are becoming more and more educated and creating music yourself is getting more and more accessible. And not only do we have a way bigger population than 200 years ago, but we also have a thing called the internet, which basically allows any 14 year old to create a new genre in their bedroom and then distribute their music for free. 9:55 This is what they mean when they talk about Mozart's music 'existing in the universe'. You get the feeling that it's always been there, and that he merely discovers it. It's so natural and yet refined, so fast and yet soft. However, over time I have shifted somewhat to other composers, I still feel Mozart is the greatest to ever touch the keys.
