Completely agree. Thought I’ve only played one of the 2d Pokémon games (Black 2.) I’ve watched several playthroughs of the other games, and the pixelated sprites and music just appeals to me way more than the 3D games. Though Black/White will always have my favourite soundtrack.

Ghetsis's murder attempt is still probably the most shocking thing I've seen from these games. Back when these games were released in Japan and were slowly getting leaked onto KZread, I had thought that he had actually tried to impale the protagonist. (And honestly, Glaciate can't freeze...)

In the original japanese games Ghetsis did try to kill the player. They changed it for the European and American release.

When I was playing through black i was looking for Kyurem, and eventually I found the spot you need to stand on to get Unlock Kyurem. *I was terrified.*

*EDIT: I had zero idea this comment would make so much commotion even 2 years later, impressive to be honest.* To be honest, when I played Pokemon BW2 I was scared outta my heart when I saw Ghetsis attempt to *KILL* the protagonist, that was the only time any villain actually tried to not just steal their Pokemon, not steal their money or just harass them! I was fairly young then so I was mortified. I didn't care about Cyrus trying to become a damn God, i didn't care about Archie and Maxie wanting to alter the world. (And almost accidentally make the world inhabitable.) And I didn't give a damn about Giovanni's shitty plans. (Obviously.) Even to this day not even team flare and the aether foundation's leaders cruel ideals don't panic me. But team plasma still gives my teenager ass chills to this day.

I really appreciate the Animated Sprite Models having motion in the battle scenes. Honestly it made me like Black and White (Along with the Sequals) alot. Along with the cutscenes when Zekrom/Rhesiram got Obsorbed. I really enjoyed this game(s) Too bad everything's 3d now. I know it's an unpopular opinion but I'd love to see a new Pixel style pokemon game.

We’ve officially been in the 3D era long enough to decide which era we prefer and I, like many, can confirm that the Pixel Era was centuries ahead of the 3D era Black and White are the greatest games in the series and no 3D Pokémon game has come even close to matching its awesomeness

I wish ORAS and USUM remixed Kyurem’s own theme from B/W. I know there’s a small difference in the theme compared to Reshiram and Zekrom, but it makes Kyurem I guess, a bit more special.

They did Kyurem dirty. I was immensely disappointed when I didn’t hear the h a r d b a s s. Also Reshiram got done dirty in OR, they gave it zekrom’s theme

I remember learning about Kyurem in white/black from other kids I knew. Kind of like the mew truck, but real.

Honestly B1W1's kyurem theme is one of the best legendary themes of all time. It somehow far surpasses Reshiram/Zekrom just by adding bass and a few extra beats

Something very caring about both Black and White forms of Kyurem, it's always imperfect, look at his right and left arm, it's always one of them that's frozen, hinting that he's always going to be imperfect, without his other half.

I want Nintendo to make these kinds of games again, I don't mean like 3D remakes, I mean like all the old pixel art and update some of the new ones. I never played those kinds of games though, I've only played the 3D ones and the pixel art ones appeal more to me. If I could, then I would buy the DS pokemon games from amazon or something, BUT THEY ARE SO FUCKIN' EXPENSIVE NOW!

Kyurem’s battle theme is 🔥

I remember when Black and White 2 weren't even out, i called the new forms Kyushiram and Zekrem, and i theorized with my friends that you had to get them to have the Original Dragon. Me and my friendos even made a BW2 concept plot at the time, during BW2's hype period... When nothing on em was known.

Notice how black kyurem has a frozen left arm, while white kyurem has a frozen right arm, the frozen arm on the dragon would probably be where the opposite one went.

Yeah, I notice that's a common theme with tertiary legendaries, to put them randomly in, then give them a special feature in another game. The first three didn't do this, but they did from then on. Arceus couldn't be obtained without hacking in gen 4, so it was pretty secret. Kyurem was the cover legendary of the sequels, and then we got the story behind the Pokémon, and it's significance involving the first cover legendaries. Zygarde followed a similar pattern, where it was "just there" in the game without any explanation, and then we got the cores and cells system in Sun and Moon. Necrozma, again, got no explanation, then was the linchpin in the next game. I think, however, that game freak was being kind of lazy, as the only difference between Necrozma and Kyurems stories is Necrozma steals Solgaleo and Lunala, while Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom are all part of the same whole. I assume that Game Freak will do the same with Sword and Shield too.

To be honest, I like Zekrom more than Reshiram (it's wing-hands are a complete put-off to me) but White Kyurem looks way better than Black Kyurem. WK looks slick and cool, whereas BK looks a bit like an ogre to me for some reason. Probably because of the expression and the teeth. Also the stance in which it looks like it's arms are too heavy.

I know it's already passed some time but I think it would be very cool if happened a remake of gen 5 with Sinnoh included, since in Unova there is a place called "Cave of Beginning" (sorry if I mispelled it), that has connection with Sinnoh, so I think it could have an event which a passage there is open and the travel to Sinnoh region becomes possible after the player catch Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie, returning to the cave, so it would be 2 regions on 1 very similar to G/S/C and HG/SS, since Unova has an intention to remember the gen 1 in some aspects, it would be interesting having another region that is connected to it as well. It's only my point of view, of course.

Why would they remake gen 5 just for a sinnoh region? The game is fine the way it is it don’t have a reason to be remaked. pretty much adding the sinnoh region in black and white is just too much. On black and white2 they changed up the region and added different legendaries from the sinnoh region and having the sinnoh region connected to the unova region doesn’t sound like a good connection at all. Even johto and Kanto are connected and they kinda have a ring to it (they sound like a good connection). also it would be really dumb for them to make a remake on this game since it has a good storyline and don’t need a remake at all unlike people pleading for a diamond and pearl remake. But if they remaked gen5 it’ll pretty much will be in 3D since they don’t make dsi games no more. If they lack the graphics and stuff like they did in sword and shield some people said. it’ll probably won’t be as good as it was in pixels and remaking such a good gen and game like this doesn’t seem exciting since SW and SH was kinda trash. (This is my opinion if you don’t approve that’s ok)

This was actually epic since nothing like fusing a Pokémon together or a Pokémon going beyond and stronger limits was thought of before This was the first thing to come up with the concept of primal and mega evolution

Isn't it canon that Kyurem was the cause of the Pokemon world's version of 9/11. Like the reason there's that area under construction is because it destroyed a huge chunk of a town. And that area of the game was inspired by the real world sight of ground zero.

Dude I remember in Pokémon black, the first time I saw kyurem I had no idea he was in the game. I was just exploring after beating the champion and I stumbled upon it. The random blizzard scared the hell out of me. And them finding the cave. Omg

And kyurem does nohing to an escavalier

Not true, in a one on one battle then maybe, because Kyruem has a move called Endeveaor and this is very useful in some crucial situations, and in doubles, even normal Kyruem can be extremely, IF paired with a good teammate.

Quava D except type one thing about kitten and endeavor is that’s it’s health pool is so large that finding a use for endeavor is difficult

He comes back in white/black 2 after you become champion and he battles you with only zekrom/reshiram and if you win, he gives you the stone that they come from.

I remember shiny hunting Kyurem with my friends in Pokémon Black/White in a park :) Good times

I recently restarted my Black 2 save file and yesterday was when I remembered how cool the Black Kyurem cutscene is (even though I prefer White Kyurem) and then Lucario one shotted Kyurem with a critical hit Aura Sphere

The music at 10:21 is beautiful.

I am still tripping over this video. The pokemon black,white, black 2 , and white 2 are not even 10 years old.

Gen V is the strongest generation to date. Pokémon started degrading in Gen VI, and then Gen VIII is a whole other tier of degradation.

It could've been great if Absofusion was actually a move and the DNA Splicers would let Kyurem learn it just like the Zygarde Cube where you can let Zygarde learn moves in Sun and Moon.

5th gen's plot is kinda dark, and I love it.

I didn't know that Kyurem had the Zekrom and Reshiram theme!

It's actually different. It has some added beats, as well as some sweet slap bass.

Kyurem's theme is better than the both of 'em, Reshiram's theme has fire bits in it, and Zekrom's has electric sparks in it.

Kyurem has a slightly different rhythm and harder bass, while zekrom and reshiram have static and fire sounds respectively

I would like to see a fusion of Zekrom, Reshiram AND Kyurem in the BW remakes. Would be crazy!

I didn’t even know Kyurem was a thing in the original black/white games. I thought it was a Pokémon they made up for the sequels. Game freak put a lot of love and thought into gen 5

When i played pkmn black2 dor the first time. The part when ghetsis tried ro freeze the protagonist with glaciate(even though it cant really freeze) back then i dont know that, i swear, i almost cried cause my heart skipped a beat
