As much as I like the new version nothing could ever come close to that amazing blast through the trees. The old track was the GOAT!

It was germany's Monza. There's a reason Monza's been in the calendar for so long. It's a temple of speed. The same reason why the 2020 shakir gp was such a success with the fans. The americans have ovals, we europeans do it like this, massive straights cut with fast chicanes and a more technical sector somewhere along the lap, and it does for some good racing. It's a shame they cut the forest section out of the circuit, it was all of its charisma

Still want the nineteens version back. current version is horrible, it has nothing interesting.

All the drivers hated it it was a nightmare for fans. You guys are just nostalgic dickriders the current version is far better and has life rather than a long straight and a horrible chicane

2:22 : back in the Ferrari 312 days, the cars were still taking the wider entrance into the Jim Clark chicane (here, wrongly blocked with pylons). The narrower entrance as shown in the video was introduced in 1981 as an additional reaction to Patrick Depailler‘s acccident.

In the early 90s and 00s it was a lot of fun and i like the Old Hockenheim so much

I live in Hockenheim. I am literally every Weekend on the track 😂

@@montoya-400 Yes, that's really a shame. I would really like to wish for a race in Hockenheim again. I've also been to 6 Formula 1 races there. 2019, 2018, 2016, 2014, 2012 and 2010.

Only if they're willing to help Hockenheim with the money, I think the reason it left was because the organisers couldn't afford the money F1 was charging

I guess he did not find that layout. Infact, he cut the chicane during that lap. I guess he did it on purpouse.

The '60s. Unfortunately Jim Clark died in a crash in a race of Formula 2 in 1968. But this layout is the best for me. As a Brazilian I loved the adding of a curve named Senna in this legendary race track.

This is a real treat. Thank you I miss the old layout.

i miss the old layout from the 90's with its insane speeds

The 2002 changes were the single worst, most despicable raping of a once great circuit that I have ever seen. This used to be my favourite track, I'll never forgive them for what they did to it.

would really like the old one back but scince it's destroyed well no going back would be pretty cool with the new cars i think ( or even mor dangerous)

This track was literally killed when they removed the straights in the woods. I would like the German GP to come back, but not here. The Nurburgring gp track it’s better in my opinion

Much prefer the old layout (pre-2002). I know the drivers weren't particularly fond of it but from an audience perspective it was entertaining - great for overtaking. It used to be my favourite track until it was ruined.
